About Me
So...I find myself single and back Internet dating. Pulling empty pales from the wishing well. Honestly, I hold no hope in actually meeting 'the one'... He seems far too elusive and perhaps isn't ready to find me yet. Must be stubborn! In a nutshell, I want a normal guy who knows how to treat a girl right, has a decent job, can support himself and has more on his mind than drinking or an Xbox...this is not an abstract from experience.. I can be flipant, but you get the idea. I seem to pick the guys who lure me in and then declare themselves 'really busy' or worse say 'you deserve more' etc?! I don't need another time waster, life is for sharing. I'm a pretty good girlfriend! If it's your birthday, i'd make you a cake. I do the same for my friends...it's not necessarily a sign of deep commitment (that IS a personal abstract) If I cook dinner, i like to clean as I go. It's how I am. If you throw some banter at me i'll throw it back! I won't call you everyday, hopefully we'll share a couple of texts though. Am I SO odd?! I'm ranting, sorry, unattractive. I'm frustrated...! Where are the other 'normal' people?! Ideally, yes, I'd like to settle down. But I'd really just like a boyfriend to get the relatives off my back and restore a little confidence in myself. Oh, and have some great fun along the way :) If you'd like to read the rest, please do. I've written a lot, but then, I am who I am, and I've nothing to lose! This Bridget really does need a Darcy.
I'm not 'posh'. I can however speak nicely, annunciate and have a good education behind me... and I use it to great effect when after upgrades.
I go for tall, rugged manly men... Footy playing weedy pretty boys move on. If you're 5'9 or less, nothing personal but I simply don't fancy short men! A girl should look up when she kisses her fella!
Which one's true? A - I've run a small part of an Olympic Torch relay, B - I've been attacked by a shark and have a small scar, C - A man once offered my dad 3 camels for me.
I'm a secondary PE teacher, I teach GCSE and A level, specifically sport psychology. It seems hard to meet people outside of the same old circles and bars etc. I'm down to earth, was brought up to spell and speak competently enough, and have a traditional family background. I can safely say I'm a size 12, my best feature is my eyes and my friends describe me (in 5 words!) as sexy, genuine, generous, decent and fun loving. I love to cook, think paintballing's fun but expensive, and like the crunch of snow under wellies. I like history, I have a geeky fascination for it, but it can be distracted so don't worry...I love good red wine, talking long into the night and hearing about your day as we chill out. You should be 27-35ish...taller than me, which means we're heading towards 6ft...great smile, confident, funny, into sports (rugby will get you a big tick!), secure in yourself and looking for more than just email banter and a one off date...if you're after an ego boost, move on, there's plenty of women on here who'd give it to you!
I hope you've had some experience in relationships, and by that I mean you are independent and mature in your outlook...if you've been engaged 10 times and have 8 kids (all named after towns) I'm not sure we'll get on too well! I'm not sheltered though either, if you've been engaged, or even married (once upon a time!), and have kids (1 or 2 tops!) that's cool, I've been in a relationship where kids (I don't have any!) are involved. I must be honest and say my preference is to meet someone without those experiences...but love's a funny thing, so I'm open minded.
A little from my old flatmate: "I am unable to come up with anything horrible to say about the lovely Em. Which is a shame as I have been really trying. She's one of those sporty people that us larger ladies love to hate. Y'know intelligent, really funny, a bit sarcastic, beautiful even without make up and slopping around in trackies, and possessing well developed ball skills! As you can see from the photo she is a stunning blonde and although you can't see it all that sport has given her a beautiful figure (can you hear the jealousy?). We lived together for a year so you can be assured I am aware of all her habits, good and bad, but there is nothing scary to report. Em is generous, kind and supportive of her friends. She works incredibly hard and I think she needs a man-shaped distraction to balance out her life. She's ambitious, strong-willed and fairly independent so you will need to have the ability to handle her. Basically the spineless need not apply. She's deep down a true romantic but day to day she is not too keen on the overly soppy and clingy. Em is a confident and sociable girl and I think therefore she needs someone similar that she can bounce off of and who supports and really knows her. In conclusion, I have no idea why such a beautiful, funny, sexy lady is single, it's an outrage and time to take action! Form a queue gents!"
If you can chop down a tree looking all manly - great. If you are stubbly with a hairy chest - great. If you can cook and listen intently as I tell you all about my day over a glass of wine or cold beer - great. If you're down to earth with family values and a passion for life - great. If you're none of the above, great, if I always had things my way life would be dull!
So then, "BRING ON THE TRUMPETS!!!"
Ok, I'm done, put the kettle on, easy on the milk and two please...
