About Me
I'm a late bloomer - out just 10 years. I live in the west end not far from English Bay. I like not having to use my car and enjoy all the amenities living downtown has to offer. It's close to many of the things I enjoy: biking Stanley park trails, kayaking, dining out, theatre(used to see 1-2 shows a month - any takers for theatre?), and very occasionally a movie.
I hope to meet people who have varied interests and are willing to try new things. In 2009 I took some snowboarding lessons for the first time and quite enjoyed it. I will take a few more in January. I also started tennis but a knee injury and surgery put that aside for awhile. Started back at volleyball in December 2010 just to see how my knee would do and it seems to be fine. I'm now back at tennis also Might even try to get back to running. Most recently took up rock climbing. It's with a gay friendly group that meets on Tuesdays. Checkout Meetup.com
I volunteer at events: Dining out for Life, AIDS walk, OutGames, Queer Film Fest.
I participate in Couchsurfing and have visitors from all over the world.
I enjoy many types of music but I am more likely to be listening to CBC. Saturday morning programs are my favourites: Day6, The Age of Persuasion, The House, plus The Debaters at 1 (but I usually listen to it earlier online). Otherwise, blues, jazz, indie stuff, my friends' band.
If you're on here, I assume it means you'll be available - even for a second date. I'm looking for adults :-) People who have done some 'inner work' and aren't afraid to explore things that make them tick.(Watch out for someone who gazes with greeneyes...bit of a flake. A pity we can't leave feedback on here. But then it'd be hesaid/hesaid.)
