About Me
Well, I'm still not really sure what to say here, but I've decided to try this again, so here goes...
Who I'm looking for...
Someone to spend time with, whether it's having dinner, going out, or just hanging home and watching a movie. Someone to talk to. It doesn't matter if it's about our day, our jobs, what's going on in the city or what's going on in the world. Conversation, for me, is a must, and I talk a lot, so you have to be able to hold your own! A woman who is confident and comfortable with herself, and in her own life. Being in a relationship is about sharing, and supporting, and we all have moments when we need someone to lean on. But that only works when both people are capable of standing on their own two feet. A woman with a sense of humour. Life has a way of getting way to serious, and you have to be able to laugh about it sometimes, especially with the person you're sharing your life with. And lastly, a woman who is secure enough to say what's on her mind, good, bad or otherwise. Most of life's problems are caused by mis-communication, or no communication, and the easiest way to fix that is to just say it. If you can do it with some understanding, and maybe even a little humour, and expect the same in return, then even better.

And here's the hard part, somehow it's always easier to talk about what you want, rather than what you have to offer. Also hard to put your life down in a few lines, all sumed up neatly, but here goes. I guess first I should say that I actually am single, since judging by the profiles, that's sometimes not the case! I'm well educated, fairly successful in my career, well adjusted and pretty happy with my life. But the best parts of life are the ones you share, which is why I'm here. I like going out (just not really interested in meeting someone that way), but I'm equally happy to hang out with friends, or have some people over for dinner. Or go out, or stay in, just the two of us, because you don't always need a crowd. I love to cook, and I'm very good at it, but that's definitely one of those things that's best shared. And I try to take what I love about cooking, and apply it to the rest of my life. There's a hundred things that we all do every day that become routine, and mundane. If you let yourself fall into a pattern, you wake up one day and realize your life has gone by, and you haven't really experienced any of it. Cooking, for me, is about more than just the end result. It's about the process, trying new things, different flavours or styles, preparing a meal together and sharing in the experience of it, not just the eating. You can eat just because you're hungry, just because it's something you eed to do, or you can make it something worth doing. And that's what I try to do in the rest of my life as well.
