About Me
...or at least well travelled, articulate nerds. A glass with water at the midpoint line I see as a glass that is a 50% member of the full glass set and a 50% member of the empty glass set (for the fuzzy logic fans out there).
My life has been devoted to serving the planet and mankind. I'm interested in somebody who strives for something lofty that transcends herself, not just live for survival and entertainment. White picket fences and knights in shining armor are myths, not goals.
My best female partnerships have been with women also so inclined. Teachers, health care workers, and artists work very well for me. I have prefered older women to younger, as the wisdom and self assurance is ever so enticing! My last girlfriend was 15 years my senior, mmmmmm. But lately I've been inspired by younger women who are still very positive on life.
I'm also especially keen on somebody with foreign language or foreign life experience. I've lived six years on two other continents, so that different insight into how the world really works is very valuable to me. Better even if you have even some familiarity with Spanish, German, or Russian. I have had some of the MOST amazing experiences and in places and events in history, but sadly nothing much interesting has happened that way for many years.
Fifty-somethings and twenty-somethings interest me the most, because these two age ranges seem to be quite frequently about defining or redefining oneself. At least for me life has been a constant makeover, constantly exercising curiosity and growing from the corresponding experiences. Ages in the middle seem to get set in a pattern, stick to predefined roles, and get set in their ways. I'm still fascinated with women who are empty nesters or who have ended a long term partnership out of lack of satisfaction and are looking forward to trying something new.
My plan was to move to Pittsburgh on 10-31-11 and within the following year settle in Braddock, PA 15104. I have just arrived to the PGH area and am looking for digs. Dallas was a bust for me, and I'm very excited to start a new life in a village with a lot of heart and an amazing mayor, John Fetterman!
Also, I had been living in the state with the heaviest cities in the United States. There are so many women who have super-sized themselves and think getting themselves made up makes them a plus sized model. Please, somebody right-sized would be refreshing, fit would be amazing! I work hard to keep myself trim for my age and it's reasonable to expect the same.
Some of my odd interests and hobbies include beaded jewelry making, collegiate acappella music, practicing my foreign languages, following world events (especially political economy), urban revitalization, and following green industries and practices.
Also you should know I have never owned a car in my life, thus the "Do You Have A Car? = No." It has been a sustainability position I have taken in the last thirty years, and until forced to, I'm not getting one of those beasts. I have also never owned my own TV, as it just seems to be mostly a big time suck.

Also keep in mind that as men get older they die off sooner. So single, available men my age are outnumbered by available women. The odds only get worse for the women the older they get. Many guys (especially on this site) use that demographic to their advantage to be a player. I don't play that game. My game is to be the best man I can be and to be a joy to my friends and associates. So I can just wait and let the game players (especially women players) play their games, knowing that the odds only get better for me every day.
