About Me
I’m a very curious and adventurous guy so I'm constantly exploring and learning about the world. I'm smart and kinda nerdy; for example, I stop to read those historical information plaques that you see everywhere, I can rhyme off my favourite museums, and I've managed to make Google Earth a major part of my dissertation research (you have no idea how happy this makes me!) When I’m not in the field trying to not get robbed (again), I’m reading, writing, TAing, and generally living the life of a grad student (ok, it's mostly involves reading, writing, and TAing).
When I shed my academic exterior you'll find me hiking or biking somewhere, reading in a coffeehouse, hanging out at the Grad Club, or cooking a great meal and watching a movie at home. It should be obvious that I travel a bunch, too. My iTunes mostly consists of folk, rock, and their radical love child, folk-rock. Also, I'd like to get out to see more shows. I can pull a Simpsons reference for pretty much any situation. I'm happiest with variety (set routines aren't really my thing). I'm unflappable, casual and really, truly awesome (also modest, clearly). And I really enjoy using brackets (apparently).
I'd like to meet a woman who is smart, quirky, and cute. Someone who would like to have a night cap at a jazz lounge or bike to another town for a picnic. Someone who enjoys talking about the world and sharing their thoughts on life. An irrational love of mountain hikes, late night movieathons, and that feeling that you get when you get off the plane in a strange city are all assets. Bonus points if you know where my headline comes from.

First Date
Why don't we meet at the museum and wander around there for a bit, then go skating at Victoria Park, and finally warm up with some hot chocolate and friendly talk to get to know each other. As an added bonus, since I have not been skating since I was a kid this will be an excellent chance for you to get some cheap laughs at my expense as I flail and fall all over the ice.
