What is this "serious member" business all about? I got selected for a free upgrade. Does it magically turn all my smiley-faced pictures into serious-lookin' pictures?
Seeking a partner with whom to share my varied interests and experiences, and with whom to explore new ones.
Sitting and watching TV is the last thing on my list of ways to spend time. I'm on a life-long mission to see how many new experiences I can pack into life while keeping up with my current interests.
Be prepared, knowing that friends of mine must be willing to be candidly photographed.
I'd much rather get to know someone through conversation than by reading their carefully-formed descriptions of themselves. So on that note, I'm not really interested in just selling myself in this space. But I will be cliché and say that "I don't bite" -- I'd be very pleased to mutually get to know you if you should feel compelled to ask ;-}

First Date
A profile is like one's résumé, and a first-contact e-mail is like one's cover letter, therefore a first date should play out like a job interview, no? We will both dress up, greet each other with an air of nervous confidence, probably both intimidated by and skeptical of each other, and take turns convincing each other of our candidacy for the available position. Then we'll go home and anxiously await a call a few days later.
When it doesn't play out like that, we just might be on a good first date ;-}
What a first date with a given woman would involve would depend entirely upon the woman, my mood, and whatever relationship would exist between us. A relaxed environment conducive to communication would be a requirement. No preconceptions... but I do have ideas!
Actually, in my uneducated opinion, when meeting someone for the first time like through Plenty of Fish, a "first date" wouldn't be the first real date anyway. My hope is that, upon getting to know someone a little bit, an interesting and memorable REAL first date idea is inspired...
