I read something recently about dating that asked, "Can't we all just act like freaking human beings?" Seriously.
I'm a southern raised, Boston educated, former Netherlands castle dwelling, occasional Def Poet performer, oh! and I just finished my MBA. I like to think I'm equal parts quirky and refined, indie and corporate, silly and sensual.
Love to travel-spent time last year in Hawaii, Scotland, Ireland, and NYC.
If only I could put my knowledge of entertainment trivia and song lyrics towards other things I might be able to rule the world.
I got my dog Bailey online. He was the only dog I met and he looked just like his photos. The first night, I knew it was love. Online dating just doesn't work the same way as online dog adoptions do...
My dream man is part Peter Venkman/part Chandler Bing/ part Indiana Jones, so...whatever that tells you. And I'm pretty much the real life version of Zooey Deschanel's New Girl.
Honestly, I've been through my workaholic and party girl phases in my life with no intention of going back. I want to find my partner, wherever he may be. Hopefully you're in the same place.
Here's a laundry list of other things I enjoy:
Jazz, old rock, new indie folk rock, making people smile, poetry, movies, TV, painting badly, dogs, hanging out with friends, fireworks, the beach at night, fairs, flea markets, antique shops, being goofy, snuggling on my couch, wine, having adventures, staying up too late reading, museums, theme parks, people watching, and You.
I'm open to trying new things, so I think the only thing a 1st date has to be is a comfortable setting for two people to get to know each other a little bit better.
Oh I shouldn't have to say this but apparently I do... if you type "lke dis hey grl DAT is hot" or any variation of or use the phrase "hit me up" or you have a problem with the minimum message length please move on and good luck to you. Really, it's not that many words.
