About Me
I am a professional independent individual. Outgoing in social settings, but prefer my privacy and rural living. I know many people, but have a limited number of very close friendships.
Animals are a major love of my life. Dog, cat, chicken, raccoon, horses (in the past). I had a timber wolf Alaskan malamute cross many years ago.
I am a casual down to earth person with no interest in status symbols or impressing others.
My interests include reading ( love thrillers ), gardening, history ( American 1800's, westward expansion ), traveling ( local/international ) and anything water
( boating, swimming, scuba, waterfalls ).
I am also an artist (pastel, oil, watercolor ).
I try to avoid crowds ( noise ), with the exception of a few places such as the Saturday Market or the County and State Fairs. I like antiquing and thrift stores. Taking a drive and exploring interesting places along the way is always fun. I like classical, country, rock and roll, new age, swing, just about any kind of music with the exception of rap, heavy metal and smooth jazz.
I would like to travel to scuba diving destinations, take advantage of artistic opportunities in Provence and Tuscany, and historically significant destinations. Havasupi Springs, Fiji, Tahiti, Costa Rica, Galapagos Islands, Thailand, Belize, New Zealand, Greece, Bryce Canyon, Yosemite, the list goes on and on. I like to step off the main tourist routes and really get a taste of a place.
I love the smell of pines in the mountains, the sound of the waves at the coast, the gentle rocking of a boat, sitting around a campfire surrounded by wood smoke, watching a good movie, exploring other cultures, pushing the limits.
I would love to do a tour of haunted places in England or an archeology trip in Egypt. I figured out a list of all the places I would like to visit and realized I wouldn't live long enough to visit them all. I am now prioritizing.
I have a full, quiet, and satisfying life. I would be interested in some social interaction which might lead to more.
