Hello beautiful world,
This is where I begin to draw you into my wonderful little world of culinary adventures and whitewater extravaganzas!!! (okay, I think you now know a lil bout me) Formerly a corporate honcho for many years and now have broken away to pursue business on my own (w a couple partners). Living in NYC (metro area) for 15+ years: love the city, the excitement, the buzz, restaurants from the Highest to the Lowest--well, as long as they are clean; adore amazing champagne and fine wines;
I have a couple of nieces that I treasure more than life itself and figured maybe I should meet the woman that makes my world stand upside down and amazes the F##$% out of me every time I gaze into her eyes, and perhaps have some lil ones of my own one of these days.
laughing at myself and with others is a passionate obsession--laugh and the whole world laughs with you...something to that effect...with a tinge of sarcasm & irony thrown in for good measure!!
Well, that is a taste of me and i hope you have enjoyed your little journey and are settling in for a hasty reply.........at your service
*sorry for the pics, I realized they are not the best quality esp. in that teeny tiny box BUT you can see two of the things I love most: 1) hosting dinner parties for many friends; and 2) travelling the world!!
Oh, and BTW, I have recently gotten the acting bug and am venturing into the world of film, cmls and other media pursuits--for the fun and glory--not the bucks.
A first date? I presume that is after we have gotten to know each other and understand each other's likes/dislikes/peeves and passions. I would arrange the date based on what I have learned about you and what would make you go googoo eyed. Is it the ballet? a small intimate dance production? a particular varietal of wine? the circus (hey, you never know you could be down with the circus)? the date would have to involve a stroll along the water-perhaps the hudson river walkway at sunset, maybe a trip across the ferry on a clear starry evening sky, a walk through central park, to the zoo perhaps to feed the animals. Maybe view a guggenheim or whitney exhibit. Then, when we decide that perhaps it is time to have a bit to eat, I will walk you into central park, offering my hand to you as we stroll to a shaded little area under a large tree on a rolling area of grass. I take off my picnic knapsack that I have been carrying on my shoulders and proceed to open a blanket to seat you on. I first must open a nice bottle of spanish rose or a chenin blanc (it is summer time after all), I pour two glasses and we toast to our blissful encounter and sip. You watch as i open various items i have brought to snack on: some roasted olives with garlic, a little homemade chicken salad with fennel spice rub and a little antipasti salad I prepared prior to meeting up with you that morning. a little later we shall enjoya tropical fruit smoothie to wash everything down as we sit and chat and gaze across the park on this beautiful slightly breezy midday. The breeze blows gently through your hair and we are relaxed and enjoying a breathtaking site. We gradually finish up and walk the park to the street, 5th avenue, where I have arranged a car service to meet us and whisk us downtown. I have one more surprise for you...we arrive in the east village at laborotorio de gelato for some of the BEST gelato you will have ever had--including italy--okay well on par with anyway--and we indulge on the street in a culinary gem! We return to the car and are driven around manhattan from the tip of south manhattan, to soho, through chinatown, up broadway to times square to lincoln square (and by this time our first date has encompassed approx. 8-9 hours and I must return you to your apartment (or designated transportation hub to your future travel plans). we exit the car and we chat and I ask for a Kiss (it is the first date so don't want to be presumptous now do we? I tells you, I is a gentleman! You acquiesce and I hold you to me and gently kiss you, only to find we are embraced even tighter and kissing a little more deeply now. But alas, it is a first date and I must let you on for the evening, and ask for a 2nd encounter, a 2nd date, and even I dare say ask for a 3rd and a 4th as you have already started to turn my world over and inside out. I look forward to future times together...... Until then I remain,
***OR....we can just meet for coffee and talk!!!
