I've a rigorous mind, a fertile imagination, and a childlike sense of wonder ... unsullied by popular culture.
And ... dare I say, somewhat intelligent ...
That's intrinsically and not extrinsically identified, i.e. not image over substance.
The etymology of the word intelligence, meanwhile, includes art, skill, and taste, and relates intelligence then with competence, excellence, and an aesthetic sense and discernment of harmony and beauty and thus with deep feeling. It's also the faculty of understanding, the literal meaning of which, etymologically, is 'to stand among' and vividly symbolic then of this invisible but humble and empathic intellectual act or process.
How Romantic can you get?
