About Me
My friends recommended that I try this site out, so here I am. I am a down-to-earth guy seeking a down-to-earth woman for friendship and doing fun things together. I enjoy going out to various social events, seeing new places, and going on weekend getaways. Some of my hobbies include: photography, painting, building electronic projects, music (I play the drums and keyboards), and just plain old chillaxin'. My best life skills are continuing to expand my knowledge and awareness and making art and culture an ongoing part of my life. Spirituality plays an important part of my life as it makes me see something more important beyond myself. Just recently, I started discovering the meaning of irreligious Christianity as I started going to a church "for people who aren't into church" in the Greater Toronto Area where spiritual seekers are encouraged to ask questions and develop a thoughtful faith.
To me, being a Christian means relating to God directly without having to master any one technique or tool to do so. As a Christ-follower, I participate in spiritual practices not in order to achieve something, but in order to better experience what I already know is true. Once we have accepted God's love as a fact of life, the inescapable atmosphere of our lives, we are free to participate in activities like prayer, church attendance, and scripture study as expressions of the life God gives us, but not as techniques to obtain that life.
If you are a religious person, ask yourself this: What would happen if your religious institution or denomination were to close down entirely? What difference would that make to God's activity on this planet? Of course, the more rich and wonderful one's religious heritage, the more difficult it becomes to leave it all behind for Jesus. People from a proudly labeled "Christian" background may have the most trouble with the delicate work of separating Christian culture from Christ as they can be the worst for inviting Jesus to bless their religious and political agendas rather than submitting everything they are to his radical way of living.
Well, enough about me.
If you like what you see, please feel free to contact me and we'll see where it goes from there.

First Date
I prefer to keep a first date simple such as meeting for a coffee. That way, I get to see you and you get to see me face-to-face for the first time. There, we could discuss our interests and possibly what we could do on a second or third date.
