About Me
I've been on this site longer than intended. I've stayed because I continue to meet interesting people and it's at no expense. It's just another avenue to meet people for someone like me who's not active on the bar scene...although I love a good pub ;)
I'm fortunate to have maintained all of my friendships from grade school. I spend more time in the company of long-time friends, than I do prowling the single scene. I'd love nothing more than to introduce them to a special someone, but that's as sacred as meeting family. Not just anyone gets a pass.
I enjoy my career. I work hard and truly regard the people I work with as my extended family. I surround myself with others who challenge me. I don't like an easy win. I am competitive, and enjoy the challenge. I encounter or interact with many different people in a day, and consider myself adaptable and easy to converse with. I always wish to know a little about everything, rather than a lot about one thing.
I'm close with my family. We are relatable to the Tannenbaums, or the Adams Family! I'm the listenener and the moderator in the clan and value the designation. I'm a problem-solver; immediately wanting to resolve problems as they arise - in work and in relationships. Road blocks and procrastinators frustrate me.
I'm not a planner. Rather than coming up with the plan, I prefer to take things in stride or go with the flow. If I'm in good company, what does it matter what I'm doing? I enjoy spontaneity, but there are fewer people around these days to partake in a last minute adventure.
Physical activity is a must for me....I think it boils down to the endorphins released. I've recently taken up running. I love it simply because there are no boundaries and no memberships involved. That being said, I go to the gym regularly and spend my winters on the slopes and summer days on the golf course or at the beach.
My perfect match is someone who makes me have a full on belly laugh. I am dry and sarcastic in my delivery and tend to be drawn to those with the same humor. I'm attracted to men who take pride in their appearance but who are not manicured and needing to put themselves on display to capture my attention. If you have more pride in your vehicle or your 6-pack abs, we would struggle for conversation. Someone like-minded in their family values and drive would be essential.
Like everyone else on this site, I love to travel and explore new places. In reflection, my favorite places were explored with individuals who were equally open-minded to new cultures and experiences or with those who challenged me to step outside of my own comfort zone.
