About Me
I've been using this site off and on for a while now, and like most other people I've had some good experiences and bad. Lately there have been some issues with the site charging for features that used to be free, so there's been some debate about packing up and moving on. Still hoping to find an experience that will stick before I shut this thing down though.
I came from a big city and got stuck in a small town where life is a lot different than what I'm used to- good jobs are hard to find, there aren't many places to go, and it can be hard to find new people to talk to. I'm kind of a shy person and I don't drink or go four-wheeling or do any of the stuff that's most popular here, so I'm using the site to see what else is out there. I guess I'm just not very rural. What I'm looking for is someone real- just an honest, intelligent, sweet, laid back girl. We're all tired of the games and cheating and stupid stuff that comes with dating so it would be great to find someone who's as done with that nonsense as I am. I'd love to find someone who's into some of the same things as myself- someone who's into chatting about movies or heading to a bookstore rather than hunting or bar-hopping. Everyone's got different interests of course, those things just aren't really me. My kind of thing is to take a little vacation to Fairview Heights where I roam around and check out Slackers, Best Buy, Barnes & Noble and the pet stores. When I'm out there I think of how fun it would be to have a teammate with me who could make a day out of just walking and talking, making jokes and conversation out of all the things we see. Even just getting out to Effingham or Mount Vernon and wandering around is a treat to me. Of course that's not to say that I always have to be out- I love staying in as well, and it's actually what I find myself doing most of the time. I'm really into movies and have something like 600 of them, and my music collection includes every genre though classic rock and alternative probably dominate the list. I love to read and write and I'm a decent artist, though most of my time is spent wondering how I'm ever going to get out of here. :)
There's a lot more to say, but I suppose that's what conversations are for! I'm a different kind of guy- goofy but straightforward; honest but not brutal; geeky but still fun. I've got my flaws, but I'm a pretty fun and different kind of guy once you get to know me. I don't know what my future holds and I kind of take things as they come. Everyone's looking for that spark and if it happens, who knows? Maybe we could both leave this site for the right reason.

Skydiving into a foreign country with you nude on my arm, wearing nothing but swords in our hands and sombreros on our heads, pilfering fistfuls of jewels from the pockets of the leader of said country while smashing a pillow across his very head and laughing maniacally into the night as we make our escape riding a seahorse across a shooting star of rainbows.
