About Me
My name is Gordon I am laid back, happy go lucky, fortunes fool with a chip on both shoulders and a good head on them.
I am a adventorous risk taker, who knows when to call the shots, bow out and pick his fights.
Most of who I am it seems I have learned from books, the rest is the sum of my choices.
I value intelligence and compassion, ambition and virtue, wit and R&R.
Some of my passions are Astronomy, writing poetry, botany, Reading, Investing, Volunteering, Camping, Sports, concerts.
Some of my Goals include Editing my first novel by the end of the year, going to school to become a social teacher, build myself a library, own a scotch producing factury and a get a boat captains license.
My favorite color is sunset orange over a deep blue lake, reflected green by the pines and birch.
Some claims to fame include, I broke the same leg on the same day six years apart, I discovered a fossil graveyard in ft. Mac, I can read 180 pages an hour.
I am as open minded and understanding as I have known, I am a shoulder to cry on for friends, family and random strangers on the bus. Everyone comes to me for whatever reason to talk to me.
What I’m doing with my life
I am currently a foreman with P.M. Roofing. I have recently won a spot on the specialist team, which all things considered is infinitely better than re-roofing because you get evenings and weekends off and get paid by the hour instead of by the bundle. I was nominated for a health and safety award but lost out to another company.
I quit smoking and gave up the club scene, so I join sports teams last year it was baseball but I didn't enjoy it enough so I'm thinking Rugby.
Sometimes when I am bored I try to find people's missing pets, I refuse to take the awards when I do though.
I want to go to school so I've been writing lots of scholarship papers, my magnus opus is on the concept of time travel but the one I won money off of was gender studies paper on why straight men should be allowed to wear womens clothes, and why women should be allowed to fight etc
I also am trying to get some volunteer hours for yet more scholarships, though I do not know yet where to volunteer...I'm currently thinking N.E.D.A or Alberta Hospital.
I write poetry proffesionally, but I'm currently trying to finish my novel I started when I was 16. I compete at poetry slams and take part in open mics. I also am trying to develop a comedy act lol
I also am trying to make good investments like buying original art, stocks and getting a lake property etc.
I want to travel more so I was thinking of going on a couple missions trips, or taking classes in cooking or something over seas.
