..Cars you drove as a kid, are now in Antique shows (worth 10 times what you paid for it), equipment you've used is in museums, and grand kids come to you for history projects that you lived through ,,and the text book is NOTHING like you remember it being back then!
75,retired, living alone nr Shawville Quebec with two dogs on his own acre of land, having moved out of the city life to be away from the crowds, and to be as self sufficient as possible, and in the light of some recent experiences, find it time to update my profile as I appear to have grown quite comfortable with my solo, somewhat hermit-like Life!
With this in mind, I know know my reasons for being here on POF are more to form friendships through e-mailings, which can be any distance away, or eventual meetings to share similar interests if close enough to comfortably travel in a day.
Whilst a long term, committed relationship is not completely out of the question, I now realize the adjustments required to my somewhat oddball way of life would have to be minimal, and that a compatible companion would be as equally as much of a square peg in today's society as I am...
I garden in summer, read in winter, along with keeping house , car(s) and self in a reasonable state of repair and functional ability...Enjoy wood working, Art and crafts, and learning to do new things with different materials to keep hands and mind active. Basically an ideas person, who will admit to a lot of half finished projects on the back burner.
I will warn you..my sense of humour is British..*grins* read Terry Pratchett to see what I mean, or follow me through the forums for some of my views on things in general
Whilst my preference is for the slimmer and petite figure, it is not cast in stone, as intelligence and an unusual mind attracts me even more.
...and after taking the test...I show up as an ENTP type of personality..be warned!
