About Me
I am a level headed, happy, funny and content guy living a great life and willing to share it! AND I am a little bit silly and nutty to boot! I like to keep physically active by golfing, canoeing, hiking, skiing and salsa dancing whenever I can!! But i also love reading, watching movies and seeing live bands at local joints. I am a hardworking carpenter in real life and an obscure and interesting contemporary artist/photographer in another. I love to travel and explore and am up for anything. I like live music, good literature, theatre, art, good eats, tools and beautiful golf courses! Have been a lot of things in this life -but still harbor dreams of being an astronaut, golf pro and bluesman! Ah, maybe time to rethink the astronaut.
I am really over the bar scene - I have my crowd (la salsa vive on Friday eves, etc) but I also work long days and really don't go out much after I get home after work - esp. to bars, etc. I need to change that - so let's switch it up a bit!!
I like to be active - but could sometimes use a little push - and am interested in finding a little adventure once in awhile - I am not scared of much and am willing to put myself way out there for any new experience - even it all goes horribly bad - it's still a great experience! I love to cook and eat great food - enjoy cultural events - enjoy seeing live bands and concerts, plays, art galleries, etc.
You should be independent, have great friendships, be happy - because I am in a great place in my life and so should you be - and be okay to develop something new(whatever it is) around the things you already have in your life - but why don't we just hang out a little bit and see what happens - keep it light and fun and simple. lol.
I own my house - and live here with my teenage daughter who is sweet and smart - and very much independent. I have a lot more time on my hands - alot more FUN time!!
I try to dress and look nice - but i could always use a little/lot of help in this dept. I will most often be in the shorts/jeans and shirt mode - altho I have a nice sport jacket that i think goes great with jeans and a t-shirt or whatever - and I continue to build a decent wardrobe - that's good right?

First Date
I am pretty happy being single but i am looking for people/a person to hang out with at first and see what happens - go to a movie, catch a comedy show, concert, live band, go for a walk, dinner, lunch, coffee - take latin dance lessons - that kind o'thing! i am looking for people who are intelligent, witty, crazy, secure and confident and who possess a great sense of humor. I like people who can hold a good conversation but i also like shy, quiet types who possess a covert razor wit! I am looking for people who can hold their own (especially around my friends), who are independent, confident and who like a little bit of adventure every now and then - friends first, for now! I am also ready to TRAVEL - and not the usual drunk in mexico (but maybe) - but something/place exciting and different - adventurous - historical! I am more of a hiker than bus tour/package guy! How about Spain or Egypt or a whitewater rafting trip?
