About Me
I really enjoy my life, I'm lucky to have a good job which stimulates my brain and which I enjoy most of the time, my own home and all the comforts I want. But I'd really like to to find someone to share the good things in life with and spend time with. So far that someone is proving difficult to find, but I'm hoping to meet the right person soon.
I've got some great friends and enjoy meeting up with them to eat out (I like Italian, Oriental and Indian food, but I'm always up for trying something new), watch a gig or a standup comedian, or just sample the atmosphere in one of the better pubs.
I like going to the cinema too, I'd do it more often if I had someone to go with. I like action films with a touch of sci-fi (think Terminator, Alien) but I also like the animated films which are supposedly aimed at kids (think Shrek, Finding Nemo, Ice Age, Toy Story) especially when they include things which make the grown ups laugh whilst going right over the kids' heads. I'll watch other films as well... I love Titanic, Moulin Rouge almost made me cry, and Bridesmaids registered with me in a way that I wasn't expecting it to.
I'm not a fitness freak, but I like to think that cycling to work keeps me in shape.

First Date
I'm open to suggestions, but what I'd suggest is a visit to a restaurant (must have a decent vegetarian selection, but you don't have to eat veggie just because I do). I like eating out, especially foreign food. Italian, Chinese & Thai (what they can do with bean curd puts western chefs to shame), Indian, Lebanese, and I'm always open to the idea of trying something new.
This could maybe be followed by a few drinks in a quiet pub. No high-density vertical drinking establishments please, I want to be able to sit down, and to talk to you without us having to yell in each other's ears to make ourselves heard.
