About Me
Hi and thanx for reading! You've already complimented me.
I find my opening line to be truly heartfelt for me. All the possessions in the world cannot, by half, measure up to the joys found in the sharing of love with friends and family, the enjoyment of a sunset over a lake while out camping or RVing, the music of a child's laughter or the rage of a thunder and lightning storm as I watch it progress across the sky.
Nor does it compare to sharing my life with a special someone. A good meal, a vintage wine, firelight, and soft music is best served for two. So I'm here to hopefully find him, whomever he may be.
About me--My music is soft jazz, blues, old time rock, latin rythms and some classicals. I hate rap and heavy metal, can handle some westerns though not a huge fan, love to read and think that just about the worst TV shows are soaps and reality TV--Is that an oxymoron?
I'm the kind of person that doesn't sit around waiting for another to make my life happen for me, hence you'll find me camping alone for a week at least twice a year. Though I'd love to share it with someone, alone is better than not at all. I take my cat with me who brings me mousie bums and tails for breakfast. Yuck!!! But I guess he's just not a mousie rump roast kind of cat.
Update: Unfortunately my cat, Cee-Ay-Tee, passed away. He was 17 years old so it was his time. Such is life. I plan to take his ashes with me the next time I go camping and spread them in his favorite spot. So no pets in my life right now and not thinking of getting another in the near future. My friend says that if we want to have a pet we need long living ones..........like an elephant. Great idea but I don't think an elephant litter box would fit well in my bathroom. lol
I love to dance--the only way to get the housework done--and if you can jive you'll definately be a hit with me! (Hmmmmmmmmmmm jiving and dusting, what a concept--and quite the visual too!) I love to cook, make home made salad dressings and mayonaise, make jams and preserves and invent my own recipies--always a hit with my family. I'm the daughter of a home-ec teacher, so if I can't cook and sew, something's definately wrong. My friends say I am young at heart, have a great sense of humor and I love to laugh. (Gee, how many times have you reat THAT before???? lol)
So, if what I've had to say piques your interest, please write.

First Date
Whatever hits our fancy. Lunch? Dinner? A drink?? If it's working out we can extend it, if we like.--Dancing? Comedy club? Walk on the beach? Something different like a visit to the Planetarium or Science World? We can figure that part out as it happens. I do have to say that I don't drink coffee after lunch--sleep is really important to me--don't know why
and coffee after lunch has a tendancy to negate that. So I'm not a huge coffee drinker.
