Here's a part of who I am and what I hope to find.

Neither of us would think we're less of a person than the rich or famous, nor better than the homeless and here's to hoping you feel comfortable in the presence of either. If perfect is what your looking for you'll need to keep searching because I am far from that. I think we both should agree it's childish for a man to be intimidated by a ladies independence and/or her need to share time with others, so I won't be. If you're into spending a week away alone with your girl friend's of family, that's fine with me. I fully understand that real friends are hard to come by and that dedication and trust is essential in any relationship, though the latter is earned, not given.
I love to be silly sometimes, with a boyish charm and lighthearted humor, but can also be very serious when the time calls for it. Competitive games of skill, football, basketball, swimming, sports of any kind, I love it. Currently I'm seeking "A Friend-Ship First Relationship," and we'll see where it goes from there. It seems many don't read this last sentence or simply decides to ignore it,,, hummmm?
IThe day that you feel comfortable enough in introducing me to your dearest friend's will be special to me. I'll try my best to make you proud you did, and will have great respect, admiration and love for your family and friend's alike. I believe that comes from being raised on a very small farm by a grandmother who loved me and made a great impact on who I am today. Mainly, my belief in God and respect for others, "she passed at 92." If you like to wear jeans and tennis shoes, that's cool. Or like to dress up like a "Girlie Girl," the next, that's nice too, I like both. But know this, {WITHOUT A DOUBT} it will be your walk with God and not your attire, wealth or looks that tugs at my heart the most. I love beauty as much as anyone else, but in my opinion and there's nothing more attractive than a confident and prayerful woman, whose not pushy, full of humility, and compassion, and empathy for others.
I'll refrain from exaggerating my height and income. If it's great financial security you're looking for, then sadly, you might need to keep searching. I can never forget that God is my provider. In 1984' I became a full-time Evangelist, God meeting every one of my needs along the way. It would be more practical to find a lady who is familiar with ministry because she would understand my life and what it entails but it's not a must, I'm open. If you've read this far and you know we're not a match, I want to thank you for stopping by and wish you well in your search. I shouldn't have to say this but I will, I'm Not looking for a fling, or to go out and party the night away.
Cooking should be added as one of the things I do exceptionally well. And surprisingly, by the time I finish in the kitchen there's no mess, can you believe it? Yes, I've proudly cleaned up everything as I cooked! Funny, I would rather wash the dishes than to load and unload the dishwasher! Go figure.
By some I'm called a Singer/Songwriter/Musician but at my age the vocal range is receding.
Are you a woman who will be there for her man until the end? This is so important to know about each other, especially at our age. There will never be another woman in my future but my next love. If we become partner's in life and by circumstance health turns against you in some un-foreseen way, you can rest assure I'll take care of you and not run away, however long that is. It's been 13 years since my former moved on, after 20 years of marriage, 16 of those very good, so I'm not AFRAID OF COMMITMENT and always loved being married. I'm thankful I've tasted how sweet it can be and also how bitter the taste can become when two don't walk together.
Fun times are when we're Hosting Parties - Making people laugh - Encouraging and loving those who others reject - Reaching out ministering to the hurting. By the way, I hate surprises but love to spring them on you.
Whats the most private thing I'm willing to admit to you at this point.
I became very bitter at God after my former left in Jan of 1999. Ultimately, the bitterness lead me down a hard road. You see, simple put, It took 5 years for God to walk me through it and get the breakthrough I needed - Learning so much along the way. Here's a little poem I wrote about that journey, hope you enjoy.
"Every Fallen Tree"
I started out as a seed in a Forrest of big trees
A little water, a little sun, would be just enough for me
Rooted by the brook I was taking hold of life
Everyday my limbs were growing stronger in His Light
I was feeling very good about the days that lay ahead
Likewise bird's & squirrel's sought out nooks to make their beds
Suddenly the winds began to blow, lightning took it's downward course.
Now destitute and humbly broken splintered by it's mighty force
You could hear the roots crack & pop, screams from the awful pain
The many years of growth that passed now seemed all in vain
As quickly as the storm appeared it vanished from these tattered woods
Leaving behind such terrible destruction no life around me stood
My canopy of hope had fallen, death lies on the brink
If you look real close you just might notice that all my leaves are beginning to shrink
The tender songs of chirping and chatter has been driven far from here
The former joy, now non-existent, life prostrate filled with tear's
Suddenly the stream flowing through this land brought a familiar smell
The coolness of it touched my Heart, shut back the rot of hell
Tear's of joy soothed my damaged roots and started dancing in the mud
It's amazing how at the scent of water this fallen tree is beginning to bud
Now there's still a chance for all Gods flora's, the Root of David Deep In Mind
If you've fallen In Gods Garden, you can still grow with a little time.
Inspiration comes from
Job 14:7; For there is hope of a tree if it be cut down that it will sprout again.
14:9 Yet through the scent of water it will bud and bring forth boughs like a plant.
