About Me:
While I am not the loudest person and can be a little shy at first I can quickly warm up to people; at which point you may wish that I would go back to being shy :)
A fan of the indoors as well as the outdoors, I enjoy everything from playing board games and video games to camping and playing hockey. I like to go on walks, to take in the sights and get some fresh air, but I enjoy them a great deal more when I have someone to walk with.
I’m not one that you would typically find in a club. A small pub or coffee shop is more my style. I like to get to know other people, to connect with them. This is easier in some situations than others.
I am an admirer of the arts. This includes (but isn’t limited to) photography, theatre, movies, TV shows, music, literature, video games, board games... Anything that showcases creativity, imagination, a story, and/or emotion is worth a closer look.
Those who know me best would tell you that there are four character traits that I value most in myself and in others. Those traits would be Honesty, Trust, Loyalty, and Empathy. Bonus points go to those with a sense of humour, creativity, and communication skills.
There’s a special place in my heart for children and animals. Maybe it’s their innocence or their imagination, or maybe my protective instincts, but I enjoy spending time with them.
I tend to spend a lot of time thinking about... well, everything... The future, the world, people, what/how other people think and why. In return, I am usually quite good at reading/understanding peoples' feelings and finding new and creative ways of doing the same old thing.

What I look for in others:
I have my own faults and weaknesses, so by no means do I expect perfection from anyone. Nor do I expect to find someone that my interests align perfectly with. In fact, I am kind of looking for someone with a few differences. One learns from their environment and the people in it.
I am looking for someone that I connect with. If we have a different taste in music, then we have different tastes in music. In no way does it mean that there can’t be a connection. I am not looking for someone to "complete" me. I like who I am and am proud of the type of person I am. I would like to find someone whose personality "compliments" my own.

First Date
To me the “first date” is about getting to know the other person, so really regardless of what you're doing, as long as you're together, you should be able to see if there's any connection. A simple walk and/or a coffee or tea would be just fine with me.
