About Me
So, according to the ancient precepts of the fisherman, if the lure don't work, you change the lure. So I have decided to change my old lies, I mean profile, to reflect the fact that time has gone by.
Yes, my profession is listed as rocket scientist. This January, I will be travelling to Norway and firing off my first ever low atmospheric rocket, which will lead in to me doing the same thing with a rocket at about 150km, about a year after that. So, even though I am finishing up my engineering physics degree still, I can legitimately claim the title of rocket scientist.
Since December, I have become a squash enthusiast. I play at least once a week, and often more like 3-4 times, and try to play in as many tournaments as I can, and I'm actually organizing one at the YMCA for September (note to self - try to update this after the tournament, or it will look tacky). It is my first one, and I'm nervous.
[The tournament went extremely well, by the way. Also, in the meantime, I have managed to win my first tournament, and have managed to claw my way up to 27th rank in the province!]
I loves going out to see great (mostly Canadian) bands. I want to (or will have)see(n) Broken Social Scene when they are in town, will definitely see Mother Mother the next time they are around, and I'm looking forward to seeing Eagles of Death Metal make a return trip.
I mentioned that I am finishing my degree, but I'm not really sure what I plan to do with it. I should have some pretty good, unique options, as I will be able to say I've done work with, or for, the Canadian Space Agency, and the European Space Agency. I love Saskatoon, but I could definitely see myself spending more time away from the winters.
On the dating front, unfortunately, I am not at all good at mind games, or being****. Even though every other profile I read mentions these things as what they are not looking for, this is what works. Otherwise, they aren't the guys who they would have in their pasts.
So that's what I'm not. So what am I? I am very intelligent, and witty. I am able to converse knowledgeably about a wide variety of topics, and am always curious. I ask interesting questions, and am a hopeless romantic, sprung from a line of hopeless romantics. I actually believe in chivalry, and honesty. There is more, and I am very familiar with the fact that I am not perfect, but I am supposed to be selling myself here, so I'll let you find out about my flaws later.
Aw crap. I had to come back in and add in this part. What am I looking for, you wonder. Physical attraction is important, but I find it hard to pin down exactly what I like. I love an active sense of humor, and a girl with a sense of the absurd. Other than that, I guess we'll find out!!

First Date
A first date is a tough one. I would definitely have a variable game plan, to adjust to how the date goes. It would start as something fairly simple, especially as a first date, like going for coffee. If things were really not going well, it would pretty much stop there. If things go well, I might just happen to come across a music store, or a book store, and we'd find out a little bit about each other's interests. If things still were moving, it would suddenly be time for dinner. (Why not?)
