About Me
Update: Moved to the east end of Toronto.
Briefly: If you're not expecting perfect, and you are a non-smoker and a veg*n, message me. Otherwise:
I am a still single male seeking a long term relationship with my complement, not a 'me', but an equal nonetheless, who "wants to make a difference". Eccentric seeking (quirky?) counter-balance. A vegetarian, a physicist, a writer, a musician, a dancer, and a budding inventor.
A little about me: A 'rational romantic' and a 'renaissance man', fairly slim and fit with a healthy lifestyle, a strict vegetarian and a non-smoker, a lo-drinker, honest, mostly quiet and shy but with a slightly twisted sense of humour yet still caring, somewhat eccentric (dances to the beat of a different drummer), intelligent and educated (at least in the sciences), established with own home in west Toronto. My interests include: reading (mostly daily newspaper), dancing (especially contra), playing music (badly: some piano & guitar), walking (daily), gardening (especially indoors), and sailing (mostly wishful thinking).
Passions include environmental issues (clean geothermal power, etc.), railing against right-wing propaganda (on poverty), nutrition (eat omega-3), contra dancing, and sometimes physics. Home oriented, I like cooking (I try) and fixing/inventing things. Not into most sports (sorry hockey fans).
A little about you: A non-smoker (nor any other drugs) and at least mostly vegetarian.
Preferably also: career oriented (wants to make a difference or is at least curious), intelligent, play a musical instrument (or want to learn?), not overly religious nor spiritual (western spirituality is way too materialistic), strong minded, outgoing and ... just maybe (ha, ha) even taller with longer hair than me ... but don't let that scare you off (exemptions made for short and cute). And don't care about bust size, unlike so many guys. Also, race is open.
Note: A complement shares your goals and values but may have a different but complementary approach.
Aside from Long-term, I also welcome just discussions about being vegetarian.
Note: I have a bit in common with an ogre (tall, dark, & handsome I am not).
Now a few fishing lines from a song by Collective Soul (a rock band) 'No More No Less':
"Here I lie motionless, Catch me if you can ...
"See I'm no more no less, Of an angel, Than you'd have me be ...
"Steady here I cast my lines, Only to expose ... Now my true self shows ..."
Update: after having been on here for a few months, a few things amaze me:
1. Despite having spent millions of years in lives in which we rarely came into contact with more than a few hundred people throughout most of our lives, here we meet tens of thousands and can't find ONE to connect with: how did we make it this far?
2. It also amazes me the interests of people: the number of motorcycle enthusiasts and the number (almost everyone) who love to travel and do so -- often. Curiouser and curiouser.
Chemistry?: There is a new study that women on contraceptives choose the wrong guys!?
I am tempted to say that chemistry is mostly about a tight pair of blue jeans but ...
maybe it can be a long term friendship that catches fire.
BTW, dulse, a sea vegetable (me vegetarian, hah) that grows in east Canadian waters.
