Ok - humor first ...
I was trying to describe to some friends the other day what I am looking for in a woman and this is what I came up with :D
1. Attraction - I am looking for a 7/10 ...
I know - I know ... looks and attraction are arbitrary but I would say that depending on the day and who is looking at me - I am a 6 or 7/10 (after spending 10 minutes with me some women have even said my stock has risen to an 8/10 :D but then again some have walked away thinking ... oh well - can't win em all)
Anyways ... 7/10 is a safe starting point :) I find that the most beautiful women I have known started out as a 7 and ended up knocking my socks down (what can I say - it takes a lot to knock my socks off) Besides - I am a realist and have come to realize that if I want the women I am with to have all the other qualities I want I probably won't get an 8/10 or higher unless she sees something in me that she really likes ... don't get me wrong I am not anti 8/9/10 ... I am just saying :D
Oh yeah ... and then there is the whole thing about not wanting to be around someone who thinks too highly of themselves - I mean really who rates them self a 9/10
2. A great personality ...
I do not have a list of traits I am looking for ... I think we are all looking for generally the same traits - It is a matter of finding someone who match's up with you :) I will know you when I find you ... even if you don't at first :D
3. A good conversationalist ...
We don't need to agree upon everything but a woman with an opinion is a must ... and being able to talk about a wide range of topics is awesome :)
4. Goals and/or a passion ...
If there is nothing in your life that you want or are driven towards we will not be a good match :) Hopefully your goals and passions involve travel, physical activity and leaving this world a better place than you entered it :) If your goals and passions involve accruing possessions and wealth we will not be a match ...
ps ... gear for pursuing your passions is an acceptable form of possession accruement :D (yes I do need 3 kayaks - no you don't need 50+ pairs of high heel shoes - unless you can prove to me that you can rock climbing in them and can afford to buy them with out cutting into the travel budget)
5. Outdoorsy and athletic ...
Ok - so ... by outdoorsy I do not mean that have gone camping once before and you own a toque (hmmmm ... I am a sucker for a girl with pigtails and a toque) and although doing yoga, pilates and going to the gym are fine activities and I do like a fit girl - if you prefer being indoors to outdoors we will not match up well ... with that said if you run ultra marathons or skate ski up hill faster than I can run on a flat you may need to be patient with me :D
Bonus points if you kayak or snowboard
6. Healthy ...
Ok - so this does not mean you abstine from everything enjoyable but you do treat your body well - if you are obese, use drugs or smoke we will not match up well ... social drinkers who indulge occasionally are fine ;) as well as those with hedonistic sexual tendencies :D nothing like a good drunken roll in the hay to keep you healthy ;)
7. Must be fun ...
I am a child - I like being a child ... play wrestling, pillow and tickle fights are just as much a form of foreplay as are a nice dinner, a back rub and notes in special places ... if you won't play with me I will be sad and bore quickly - adults can have fun too :D
8. A low expectation of what they are looking for in a partner ...
Ok - so this does not mean that I do not have anything to offer or I am not willing to contribute to the relationship but I believe just as in looks it is better to start with realistic expectations of your potential partner and work up from there ... so if you are looking for someone who a finished product - you will be disappointed :) I am a work in progress :D
9. Patience ...
I was once told by a woman I loved after we broke up that the woman that I end up with will have to be tough ... I like to think that she meant patient :D You can ask her for yourself if you like - yes - we are still friends :)
10. A sense of humor ...
