About Me
I came here to plentyoffish
Hoping to find a tasty dish.
Now I need to make a wish.
And hope you find me before another fish.
You might be right.
You might be wrong.
But we'll never know
If you don't play along.
I've thrown my fishing rod out your way,
To give us both a chance to play.
I hope this poem attracts a nod
Before I break my fishing rod.
I am looking for someone who is comfortable with who she is, with hope I can share her comfort zone. If you like sharing 50/50 then there is more than a 50/50 chance we might click in person, and not just on our computer keyboards.
I'm generally one who goes with the flow, so I hope you will flow my way. Some see the cup half empty. Some see the cup half full. I see half a cup. Let's drink.
I have brown eyes, and gray hair, on my way to being bald on top. Don't let my hair colour and balding scalp throw you off. They say that just because there are only ashes visible in the fireplace, does not mean the fire is out underneath. I won't burn you. But I hope you can rekindle my fire.
I have 2 (relatively independent) children living with me full time.
I am allergic to nuts and animal hairs. I do not smoke, and rarely drink alcohol.
I am also a published poet.
I Walked Along The Glistening Gold…
-----------------------------------
Inspired by the Simon & Garfunkel song “I am a Rock”
Published September 2000 (1 of 700 poems in a book titled Time After Time)
I walked along the glistening gold.
I felt the sand beneath my feet.
I came before that mighty rock;
And there I did retreat.
I prayed before that mighty rock
For it had problems none;
And I was but a troubled being,
Troubled by the sun.
That mighty rock,
How true it stood, like David before Goliath.
I wish that I could stand just so;
But then it is David, and I Goliath.
Hoping to find a tasty dish.
Now I need to make a wish.
And hope you find me before another fish.

First Date
I prefer to meet at a coffee shop the first time & get to know you. From there, a second date could be discussed which would be more in tune with our mutual interests.
