I write a lot. I think too much. I am a fan (or geek if you prefer), and the things I love are many and varied.
If you like Douglas Adams, or P. G. Wodehouse, or both; if you were very excited to see the Serenity trailer; if you read the Sin City books before the movie, after the movie, or during the movie; if any of these apply you already sound interesting.
I am very uncertain about the punctuation in that last sentence, but with plow on nevertheless.
I love to have long conversations, from the philisophical to the trivial. I like to read, write, watch TV, draw, paint, or play video games. I used to take walks and bike, but I am woefully out of shape. I watch anime, but am moderately depressed by the amount of rubbish out there. Still, I've been into anime for about ten years and don't intend to stop now.
I like good food, which is why I am not thin. I like to cook a bit, and I like eating simple but delicious foods.
I don't like sports much, though I can find it in me to root for a few teams during the playoffs. I dislike being talked down to.
Someday I'd like to be a writer. I work towards this whenever I can, but alas I have terrible ADD and the internet exists.
The section that follows is where I geek out.
My favorite fictional guys are Arnold Rimmer, John Constantine, and Zelgadis Greywords. This means that I am probably crazy, I try to see the good in everyone, and value wit highly.
Some of favorite authors are Terry Pratchett, P.G. Wodehouse, Eric Kraft, and Douglas adams.
My favorite anime are Slayers, Kino's Travels, and Kodocha.
My favorite comics are Sandman, Sin City, and Hellblazer.
I watch Scrubs regularly.
I love the Shadow Hearts series of video games, along with more conventional RPGs.
I'm always hoping to discover new things. I like things with sarcasm, philosophy, social commentary, realism, magic, love, and comedy.
Conversation Starters (i.e. what you'd like to do on a first date...)
Well to keep it simple, dinner, a movie, and then hanging out. I know a great all-you-can-eat Japanese buffet, we could start out there. Science fiction and fantasy are my favorite movie genres, though I also love all varieties of comedies, comic book movies, and anything that is artistic without being too pretentious. Humor is a big plus in movie selection. I would probably get candy and/or ask if you wanted to share a popcorn, because I am a terrible person and love junk food. After the movie we go hang out in a coffee shop in a book store and discuss the movie/browse for books.
