I like what the Desiderata has to say. If you also like what it has to say, then we might have some other things in common too. You are in touch with who you are and know what you want out of life and your relationships. You are on a journey towards enlightenment and peace, as am I. You should be 420 friendly or at least 420 tolerant...I just tend to click with people who are open minded and non judgmental.
I'm an introvert with extrovert overtones. I'm happy being inside as well as outside. I enjoy meeting new people and learning new things. Being on or near the water always makes me smile, so I'm in the process of putting a water feature in my back yard. Little things like that just make life better, along with great conversation and a sunset.
I guess I'm still kind of a tomboy at heart. I don't spend a lot of time getting my hair done or putting on makeup. I'm much more comfortable being natural in my appearance and kicking around in sweats and sneakers, although I can clean up pretty well when the circumstances call for it.
If you are interested in enhancing what is already a great life (yours) with a good natured lady (me), then I would love to hear from you. I am not looking for a man to take care of me and I would hope you want the same (from a woman). You are interested in a woman to enhance your life. You are happy with your situation in life. All that is missing is that someone special to share it with.
If you have gotten this far, and you want to know more, why don't you drop me a line...go on, I dare ya!
p.s. While it's flattering that you find me attractive, I'm only interested in a friend's first interaction for starters and if it turns into more than that, well then that would be totally awesome.
p.p.s. I'm willing to give new users some time to upload a picture, but please don't contact me if you have been on POF for awhile and still don't have a pic. It makes me wonder why........
Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant, they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism. Be yourself. Especially, do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love, for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is perennial as the grass.
Take kindly to the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be, and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul.
With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.
