I'm a well-read, educated and intelligent guy. I love company, but I'm equally content to spend time alone. I don't need people around me all the time. Actually, I find lots of people exhausting. Hopefully you're not exhausting. I've come to a point in my life where my own company is perfect for myself. I don't need anyone else around to make me happy. But I truly feel that I have a lot to give and I make the people I'm around happy. I've been hiding my light underneath a bushel for long enough.
Creativity and play are my favorite things. Although my day to day work is analytical and technical, I am also a member of a printmaking collective, I've been exhibited in some high profile places and I play a bit of classical guitar. I have about 15 years of creative design work under my belt. I have a charming, off-beat sense of humor and I love meeting people with a similar take on life. I can be sweetly sensitive to the unspoken needs of those around me and I can also have a great time poking fun at people who take themselves too seriously. If you're whiney don't even think about it. I want a partner-in-crime, not an unsatisfied mother-type.
Physical fitness is important to me. I love endurance / distance swimming, cycling. Next spring I'm getting a kayak. I believe in a good balance between socializing and private time. I love energetic conversations with interesting people. I don't spend time with people who are greedy, negative or unstable.
I love the outdoors and I'd like to find a person who enjoys getting away from the city to go check out funny little towns or cross-country skiing in K-country. I prefer to live a thoughtful lifestyle where I produce more than I consume and I have the flexibility to be generous to people who appreciate me for being thoughtful and fun. I can be arrogant and selective when I feel the need to be so, but I place more value on a person's heart than their headshot. First Date
For a first meeting I like to keep it informal and comfortable. I'd make it a chance to have some stimulating conversation over a cup of tea in a quiet shop.
