About Me
**Summer 2011 Breaking News ** I'm in the process of moving to Collingwood. Hoping to settle the minor details like work and house soon - the state of flux is a little unsettling but it's all for a good cause. So I guess I'm the new guy in town... be gentle :-)
** Sept 2011 Breaking News ** Found an interesting opportunity to house-sit a rural estate / equine farm for the next few months - still looking for my 'real' job. Any HR people on here ? :-)
** Jan 2012 Breaking News ** Enjoying country life on the farm , doing manly stuff like chopping wood and driving the tractor.
Well !! There are certainly a lot of attractive, accomplished, and interesting ladies on here - and I am looking for only one (really). Note re: intent - it's difficult to summarize in one drop-down box, ideally a lifetime relationship develops but no pressure or preconceived notions.
About me: I'm genuine , honest , stable and single ( just to clarify !!). Relaxed, open, laugh a lot.
Some other things about me:
- I once spilled beer on the CEO of a big-five bank (accidentally).
- I once air-nailed my shirt to my solar plexus (again accidentally).
- I don't ride motorcycles ( see above re: clumsiness )
- Many women say I remind them of a teddy bear - hopefully you have a favourable impression of teddy bears.
- I'm still on POF ( I am an optimist... or secret masochist? )
- My spiritual renewal is found in nature not church, but I respect others' beliefs.

Recent fun stuff for me:
- canoe trip with my kids in Algonquin
- Roger Waters concert at ACC - stupendous !!
- had Movember 'stache - vaguely Einsteinian on me
- learning French by watching Canadiens games on RDS
- collecting sections of Bruce Trail on fall and winter hikes
- week in Banff with daughter #1 early June '11 - was there many years ago to ski but it may be even better in summer - WOW !
- kayaking in south Georgian Bay
- Kitchener Blues Fest ( where I also found spiritual renewal at the Sunday morning Electric blues gospel hour which was basically church with a beer garden and good music, why didn't anyone tell me before ??
- went to a Habs / Leafs alumni ( read "old-timers" ) luncheon and outdoor game, cool to meet some boyhood idols, loads of fun for the "good Canadian boy" in me.
An important thing about me: I'm a proud father of a son (21 and out at school) and two daughters, 19 and 16 - great kids that will not scare you away !! Since someone asked - yes, all three with the same mom and yes, good relationship.
My main personal ambition: off dating websites 4ever !!!!!!!!
But seriously: I WILL treat you with dignity and respect, in good faith. I WON'T lie, cheat or otherwise play you. I have a lifelong track-record on these matters and don't intend to change. My baggage is long ago burned and buried, in fact I recently realized that I have been divorced longer than I was married - there was no cake for that though
About you: I've found I'm most attracted to women who are petite to medium build, cognizant of the world beyond their manicure, and of generally happy disposition. That leaves a lot of latitude so don't be shy.
Semi-important: I would most like to meet someone who is fairly local to Collingwood / Barrie / Owen Sound / South Georgian Bay area.
