About Me
Hey there!

First of all, let's face it, no amount of writing is really going to convey who I really am or if we are going to "click".
The only real way to know for sure is to actually meet in real life. Before you're going to want to do that, you're going to need to know *something" about me.

So... here's a bunch of random stuff!

When I need to be, I'm am a professional. I enjoy my job and I'm good at it. On the other hand, I can be quirky and sometimes really goofy. My father was found of saying "It's better to be a smart ass, than a dumb ass"... and it kind of stuck.

I am sometimes guilty of demonstrating where certain lines are by dancing on them for awhile before gleefully charging across them.

I'm and extremely no BS sort of guy. Sometimes even to my own expense. I rather like the person that I am and figure that if I can't be myself, then what's the point?

I think the statement "I like to have fun" is one of the most redundant comments anyone can possibly make. I don't know anyone who doesn't like to have fun. Unfortunately, I know there are many people who don't know how to have fun. This is sad!

I find a lot of people get completely wrapped up in a very shallow existence and pay no attention to the things that actually matter. While you can't dwell on the world's problems, it's good to at least be aware of them. It's better to actually do something about them in whatever small or large way you can. I do.

I almost always look before I leap... but I rarely don't leap.

As you can see in my pics, I run the gambit from suit and tie guy to metal guy. I'm just as comfortable either way, but I like to avoid the norm.

I really enjoy travelling, but have done no where near as much as I'd like. I'm working on correcting this! Cancun in the beginning of December (and you have no idea how excited I am about this).

I generally hate the "what is your favourite [whatever]?" game. I'm likely to give a different answer every time.
I like way too many things.

I am an eternal noob when it comes to guitar. I don't practice nearly as much as I should, but I enjoy messing about. If you happen to play and want to show me some things, that is a bonus!

I have a geek-streak about a mile wide and tend to get along best with people who share this trait.

If I write you a message, I actually took some time to write it. I did not copy and paste the same thing into a bunch of quick reply boxes.
There was also a reason for me writing said message. I'm sure you can figure out what that reason is via it's contents.

I'm not a superficial person, but let's be honest: physical attraction is an important element of chemistry. That said, if physical attraction is the only thing going on, it's not going long. This works both ways.

So there you go. A bunch of random little factoids to add to my list of interests above.
If you find any of this interesting, drop me a line!

I hardly ever bite!

First Date
Something casual. First dates are full of expectations and nervous people. I like to just chill and learn something about the person I'm with. Walking on eggshells and trying to be someone I'm not just isn't my style and hopefully isn't yours either.

Drink on a deck, a long walk someplace interesting, a coffee (someplace other than Starbucks please!), or a combination of those above.

We can save the running off to Cuba and jumping out of planes for when we get to know each other a bit better (second date, maybe?).
;)
