Intelligent, fun conversationalist (even have the occasional independent thought and opinion!) seeking same. Looking for a family first man who truly appreciates the tight circle of friends and loved ones who create the support system. MUST is a sense of humor!!! Gotta laugh...and have a great appreciation for those great big belly laughs. You know, the kind that leave you breathless and teary-eyed and the next morning make you wake up with your sides still hurting!
Intimacy is something and is developed and cultivated over time and experience together. I have a hard time putting in my profile that I like "cuddling on the couch in front of a fireplace with a glass of wine" or mentioning massages. While those things are great with the right person, it has to be with the RIGHT person...not any person who comes along. I'm not a prude, it's just that there are some special intimacies and gestures that are only right when the people together are right. That takes time and patience...not knee-jerk instant gratification.
Okay...here are a few random facts...For just over a decade, I was a Congressional Aide in D.C. I spent 11 years as a morning radio announcer at a small Virginia radio station. I like most music (except cRAP and not really a fan of Country music), I especially love classic rock...Billy Joel, John Mellencamp, Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Van Halen, Rolling Stones...you get the drift.
I am an absolute roller coaster freak! Despite that, I'm not a motorcycle mama...I am terrified of the things! And, oddly enough, I get seasick on merry-go-rounds! I have two dogs, Yorkies. I think they're considered dogs and not dust rags. I've always enjoyed writing, even made a living doing it for a while. I believe that lack of respect is killing our society...lack of respect for authority, for others and self-respect. I like manners, but I'm not stuffy. All people deserve to be treated well...that waitress serving us is a professional doing her job, not a servant. Oh...and I've mastered the art of laughing at myself!
I'm looking for a best friend to share our laughs and our tears. Hopefully, the scales will weigh more heavily in the direction of laughs!
For a first meeting, I prefer something public but quiet. A place where we could talk and get acquainted...and to be honest, no sex. Just not my style. Some things just aren't good with strangers.
