Me..... Nice guy...... regular guy..... happy guy.... fun guy..... funny guy.... likes to laugh.... likes to be spontaneous.... good conversationalist.... interesting life stories and beliefs... good manners... good at being a gentleman.....
I have an open-minded, curious approach to life and the world, and live an active and adventuresome life.
I just moved to NYC for a new job (March 2014), and am psyched to be here. There is a lot to do and see and enjoy here, and I mostly enjoy my time when spending or sharing it with a woman. I am emotionally stable, and financially able to enjoy much of what NYC has to offer, or to get on the road for an adventure (always up for a get-away). Experienced in age, youthful in spirit (adventurous, spontaneous, out to shows and nightclubs a fair bit, etc.).
In addition to work and a social life in the city, my favorite pastimes are to:
- Travel. I've traveled throughout US and the world (25 countries and counting), so I can find social and conversational connection with just about anyone. My love of seeing different people, cultures and landscapes is why I've recently changed my career focus to an international context.
- Be active and in the outdoors. I like walking, hiking, biking, swimming, sailing, scuba diving, kayaking, rafting, camping, climbing, skiing, and so on. Yoga too, which isn't all about the outdoors, but it seemed worth mentioning.
- Listen to music. Music is a very big part of my life (rock, Americana, RandB, blues, jazz, world, bluegrass, folk - musical roots gumbo!!!). Live music best, stuff you can dance to. I was a DJ at a college radio station for 4 years, and I'm learning to pay the mandolin. I like to sing too, I'd be happy to sing for you (people tell me I have a good/nice/sweet voice, I sure love to use it).
A day is full for me if I learn something new, laugh a bunch, remember to find cause to cherish life, be thankful for this grand adventure, and be part of what provides others the same.
Finally, a few of my favorite quotes: Life is too important to be taken seriously. Attitude: the difference between an ordeal and an adventure. I'm not perfect, but parts of me are incredible. Now is a good time!!!
Looking to enjoy time with a woman who is confident and comfortable in who she is physically, emotionally, socially. I greatly enjoy, sometimes even marvel at the feel of, an evening out with a woman…. good food, drink, and conversation, maybe some music, walking, people watching and exploring the sites/sights, wherever the spirit takes us. Or we can make a day of it, with some time in a park, by a river, whatever seems to fit both of us. Like I said, I have an adventurous spirit…. And like I said, I am new to NYC….. So I am up for most anything, as it is all still relatively all new and interesting and exciting to me.
If who I am is interest to you, I look forward to hearing from you.
How about we do something that you like/want to do, or have been wanting to try. I just moved to NYC in early March, so I am looking to be introduced to my new home. If we decide we want to go afield (as in a road trip), then I have lots of ideas. But for here in NYC, it will all be new (or relatively new) to me, and thus an adventure for me.
And if you are a photographer, I know I'd enjoy a few hours of photography in Central Park. The place is amazing for imagery of all sorts and styles. All the better if you can teach me how to use my new camera (thus far, I've been mostly a point-and-shoot kinda fella, but apparently I do it well).
