Ehhhhhhhhh, what's up, Doc?
I'm family-oriented. I'm close to my parents -- though not a "mama's boy" -- and I'm crazy about my little nephew. I'm creative, yet sensible, silly yet serious, and happy yet introspective.
I once drove to the Quick Stop and RST Video from the movie "Clerks." When in Ireland I bought a pair of novelty glasses with battery-operated windshield wipers. Sometimes I doodle during meetings at work, and I have a set of Homestar Runner figurines at my desk. I use "Now I know, and knowing is half the battle," "D'OH," and "spiffy" in daily speech.
I have no criminal record, drug addictions or credit card debt. I've never smoked anything -- not even for "medicinal" purposes. I'm not a broken toy for someone to fix.
I'm an unapologetic geek, AND I can talk, I don't live in my parents' basement, and I'd only wear a pocket protector on special occasions -- if I owned one.
For the moment, I have three main goals in life.
1. To earn an advanced degree - This goal has been in the back of my head for over a decade. I'm working toward this goal. I recently took the GMAT, and I plan to begin pursuing an MBA this fall.
2. To build worlds and share their stories with others - I'm interested in storytelling in video and animation. The idea for what will one day be my "magnum opus" came about in 1990. For the moment I'm still working -- off-and-on, much more off than on -- on Astronuts, a sci-fi farce film.
3. To develop a loving relationship with an amazingly awesome woman, and to eventually become her husband - I'm in absolutely no hurry to tie the knot, and I'm by no means desperate to meet anyone in particular, but I would like to find the woman with whom I share enough mutual "clickage" for us to decide eventually to settle down together and share in this wonderful, crazy, cool thing called life. To quote Forrest Gump, "That's all I have to say about that."
Bottom line: I'm a decent, three-dimensional person whose head is on his shoulders rather than permanently lodged up his keyster.
I want to meet a woman whom I can travel with, go to movies or the theatre with, walk with, talk with, laugh with and share life with. Do you have similar interests? Great. Are we on similar wavelengths? Greater.
I'm not looking for Miss Perfect -- I'm looking for Miss Awesome -- the woman who, if things work out, will eventually become my wife. Having said that, I'm in no rush to tie the knot.
I like and am great with kids! Although I don't have to become a father in order to be happy, I would be a great dad if I were to meet a woman who would be a great mom.
If you drink excessively or use illegal drugs, then please look elsewhere. On the other hand, if you're one (or more, hopefully) of the following -- funny, intelligent, honest, curious, kind, creative, "together," mentally stable, geeky, generally happy with life -- and if you're interested in meeting this carbon-based life form, then wink or email, and we'll take it from there!
