I am currently working in the telecommuncations business. I work for a company that installed many of the manholes, ducts and fibre optics used to televise the 2010 Olympics. I am healthy, enjoy working out and nature. I also like UFC, video games and chess (if you play, look me up on gameknot.com, same username). I do have a little geek in me (i.e. chess) but I still do the guy thing, i.e. beers, snowboarding, UFC, hockey. I prefer closeness to romance, though they sometimes go hand in hand. I'm open to just about anything. In general I'm a guys guy, I watch 300, Sons of Anarchy and Family Guy. But I'm not some macho half wit who's too juiced up on testoterone to appreciate red wine, long walks and spas (I ****in love spas). I just got out of a mega shitty marriage so I'm not lookin for anything serious but am definitely interested in having a monogomous relationship. Yes, I have a kid, a daughter. She's wonderful, but don't worry, I don't need her to have another mom. Oh, and I don't wear glasses anymore (pretty old pics...). If you ask, I'm sure I can scrounge up some more recent pics (I'm about 15 lbs heavier and I didn't get it from drinkin beer and I'm also clean shaven again), but I'm not overly concerned.
That's the broad stroke.
I'm an incredibly honest person. I don't lie about anything. Ever. I am an open book and don't take offense to people asking me about anything but I hate it when people assume something about you, as I am sure you have after reading the first paragraph. I'm a Da Vinci of sorts. I am kind of writing a book and continuously writing essays on personal studies. I modified a table into a chess board and cut my couch in half to make two chairs. I have four oak trees growing on my deck and am learning to play the guitar. Those are only the most recent and active hobbies I am engaged in. I believe and value experience for what it is, an opportunity to learn a lesson and 'improve' your life. I don't believe there is such a thing as 'bad' experiences since all experiences hold a value that none other does. I believe that experiencing life is far superior to reading about it. However, I do not believe in world travel. I see it as a distraction fed by consumerism which attempts to convince people that they need to look elsewhere to fill the emptiness we all share when it can only be found within, which you carry with you everywhere. Not that I won't travel, I'm just not all gaga about it. I am a very deep thinker and often find peace in processing several pieces of information at once, for example listening to music, reading an essay and writing a profile ;)
For the most part, I am lighthearted, despite the enthusiasm of the second paragraph ;) I don't hang out with intellectuals but rough necks. I grew up in a small town where family reunions consisted of hanging out with my uncles and aunts in my grandmas garage while they smoked, drank and told dirty jokes. I laugh at almost everything. All too often I find the absurdity of life to be overwhelming.
If your wondering, yes, I articulate myself like this frequently, not just when I type. I am very insightful, sometimes annoyingly so. If I smell bullshit, I'll call it, even if you don't want to hear it. I know this is a lot of info, but now you got something to read if your interested, if not you probably didn't get past the 'kid' part ;)
I know I can talk a lot, but I am still a good listener ;)
