Now for the juicier stuff,.. (And yes romance cuddling and all that mushy- mush stuff applies, but for now we'll stick with the basic requirements, okay ?)
I'm mainly looking for someone that can appreciate closeness but is also respectful of space. Too many people now-a-days are clingy and dependant and , quite frankly,- that freaks me out.
I want someone with roots, that doesn't feel the need to move to the other side of the country "just because they like adventure". I'm quite happy here and not THAT adventurous.
Who is secure in themselves, has interests that are not necessarily the same as mine, if we share some,- fantastic !, but independence is great too.
I want someone that can laugh at their own goofiness and appalling mistakes. I don't take myself too seriously,.. I screw up just as much as the next person, but can usually get a good chuckle out of it.
I want someone that opens and/ or holds doors for strangers (and SMILES when doing it).
I want someone that can be tidy and pick up after themselves, but if you're at all obsessively neat, (as in Sleeping With the Enemy?)- I guarantee we will not get along.
I want someone that will do "Jammie Day" with me once in a while just because it's nice to.
And last but not least,- I want someone with manners.

First Date
An afternoon at the driving range would be a great first meeting,- and I have never been rollerblading, but would like the opportunity to see just how atrocious I would look doing it !!
These give you something to do (that's fun), leaves the opportunity for conversation, and if things go well,- you can cool down with an ice cream cone or a cold beer afterwards. Whichever suits the mood.
