About Me
Although I yearn to be closer to family, I am grateful for my 20 years of experiences in the south...positive and negative. My perspectives on responsibility, work ethic, humility, family, love and sharing were shaped by my growing up 3rd of 10 children. I find humor in almost everything...it's usually there if you just look. My life would be incomplete without music, and my tastes are eclectic. I love words; they feed my soul: reading, writing, crossword puzzles, scrabble. I am passionate about meaningful (and sometimes babbling) conversation. Exercise makes me happy and hopeful. Baseball is a favorite spectator sport - its slow pace gives my energetic nature a place to rest. But I enjoy others as well (recently coerced into fantasy football by my sibs). How many girls have SportsCenter with their morning coffee? I enjoy traveling and meeting the natives--they are often incredibly interesting. In relationships, these are things I know about myself: I don't need a man, but sometimes I want one. I am happier alone than with someone who does not challenge or stimulate me. I don't settle any longer and believe that if you're with the wrong person, you are not open or available to the right one. It takes patience--which does not come naturally to me. I am aware of some (not all, mind you) of my flaws and can finally admit to (and sometimes embrace) them. I am attracted to smart men, educated but not erudite. I am drawn to baldness but hair is ok, too. Generosity is mandatory and carries implications beyond leaving a good tip. Let the fun begin!
