I am an entrepreneur in the true 16th century renaissance sense of the word looking for a fun woman with unique style and a singular wit to compliment my life. I don't need you to complete me or fix me, I'm unbroken and complete.
I am financially and emotionally secure. I've an off-beat, dark sense of humour. I am drug, alcohol and smoke free, and I am a vegetarian. It would probably be best that you didn't smoke, do drugs, drink or eat meat, but its not a requirement. I'm not a zealot. I'm resourceful, practical, open and willing, and adaptable.
Although I do my best to remain open-minded, it would be a good idea for you to not believe in the Easter bunny, Santa Claus, your own personal god who is watching over you, or Jesus Christ in anything other than a metaphorical or historical context if we are to get on at more than a superficial level. If you find this offensive, please, for the sake of the world, wake up. Faith is making a virtue out of not thinking. Its nothing to brag about. And delusional, self-righteous people are dangerous. Nonetheless, there is more to this than meets the eye.
I am a Ayn Randian capitalist libertarian. I believe in free will (or at least the illusion of free will, but that's another topic), the rights of the individual, personal responsibility and I believe that free market capitalism is the best path to prosperity. I also believe that corporations are inherently evil. They are entirely self-centered and have no soul, and is it up to us, as consumers, to dictate and direct them with the only thing that they understand: Profit. Every dollar I spend is a vote.
I think gay marriage should be legal. I am thankful for immigrants, and believe this country was built on and will continue to thrive on the backs of cheap labor from people who think that smart work and hard work are the answer and don't think they are entitled to anything except opportunity. I don't have a virtual assistant from Bangalore, I have an actual one and she's right here in Detroit.
I used a lifetime of party years in my twenties. I spent my thirties recovering and replaced my addictions with food. Now I eat healthy, organic and local as much as practical. I work out with my trainer at least three times a week, every week. Its a lifestyle and a habit. I schedule it like any other appointment. I've lost a lot of weight in the last year, and still have more to go. I have a lifetime of adventure to yet live. I love to make music, listen to music, watch good movies and TV. I have worked in the entertainment industry since I was a teenager, grew up in it, and although I still own a small production company, my business focus is on real estate. I love to do deals, provide housing for people and generate returns for investors.
I have an amazing, wonderful little girl. She is perfect, precocious, and precious. I mention her last, because, unless you've gotten this far and we really get along, you won't meet her. And if you want to have babies, I'm undecided. I don't really like the way kids are so completely self-centered and demanding of attention, but I simply adore mine. I guess with a balance of quiet alone time or more than one kid this would not be a factor. If we decide that isn't our path, I guess we could just practice a lot.
Does anyone actually 'date' anymore? I like to shop. I like to go to a film. Hang out and talk over a well brewed cup or 2, on the phone, lunch, dinner. Go to a game. Comedy club. Explore the city. The occasional poetry reading. A festival or an art fair. Listen to vinyl or iTunes. But most of all, I'd like to do whatever it is that lets me get to know you.
