About Me
I guess things are all about the ying and yang of life, for every positive, there is a negative, for every negative, there is a positive. It just depends on what we want to fill our life most with. The smile on my face should tell you what I fill my life most with.
What I used to do for a living in pursuit of the dollar.....
I enjoyed a career as an accountant. I used to do it for money, now I do it for fun.
I guess you could say that happiness was always my goal and is my measurement for success.
Life as a retiree.....
What can I say except that I've worked hard all my life, but was smart with my own financial plan to retire young. One of my favored spring/summer/fall hobbies is keeping my yard looking like the garden of eden. I like to eat healthy, so fast food joints aren't an attraction for me, but I will tell you why the dandelion should never be considered a weed. I have one married daughter who has blessed me with 2 grandsons and I enjoy teaching them about the finer things in life. The older grandson aspires to be a comedian, so he's not allowed to say anything unless it's funny...it helps him with his act and he gets most of his material from me. My dogs are my family and they manage to get me out for a walk every day, rain or shine. Every winter, my dogs and I usually spend a couple months on the West Coast.........I am a true Canadian at heart and rarely venture outside of my own glorious country.
My ideal relationship.....
If you need to be married or live common-law with a woman to have a long-term, happy and monogomous relationship, I'm NOT the gal for you. If you don't need a woman in your life, but still want one...I might be the woman for you. I always wonder how many great relationships have been ruined by 2 people sharing the same roof. I enjoy my own personal space and so should you. It is said that a man's love for a woman is a gift from God, and should always be treasured and never taken for granted. If you think you could be this woman's gift from God.....priceless!!! Hopefully, you are a man who understands himself, and isn't afraid to communicate and unveil the real person that he is to those that matter most in his life. I enjoy male friendship and companionship for day trips, camping/fishing, dining in or out, card/board games, special holidays, music concerts, movies in or out, and great conversations. Yes, I pay my own way and hopefully you do too. I am NOT open to relationships with bad boys, promiscuous or married men who have not yet divorced. I am self-reliant and believe if a job is worth doing.....it's worth doing right the first time. I am a bit of a perfectionist and that's not always a good quality in all aspects of life...not everyone likes a show-off, LOL. I value honesty in all my relationships with friends and family and if you have tell a little white lie every now and then.......it's not a healthy relationship that I would value, and you probably shouldn't value it either.

I'm listening!!!! But if your looking for the Proverbs 31 woman......she doesn't exist anymore because she passed away from physical, mental and emotional exhaustion and is buried in potter's field. Potter's field embraces all the people whose love was not treasured, cherished and were regretably taken for granted.
My Artistic Side
I enjoy cowboy/girl paintings, drawings, sculptures and Noth American Indian Art. I have been known to re-upholster and refurbish old furniture and antiques. I enjoy drawing with charcoals..even though life is not black and white, I enjoy the contrast of black, grays and white in the artistic sense.
My Spirited Self
I consider myself a realist and do not subscribe to any one particular religious organization as all have some valuable teachings and I don't want to miss out on anything. If I have to attend confession on a weekly basis....I'm gonna have to start making up some wild and crazy stuff to keep the priest entertained. I strive to to connect with other people and practice the virtues of Courage, Kindness, Gallantry, Patience, Charity, Humility, Mercy, Honesty, Generosity, Loyalty, Courtesy, Cheerfulness, Compassion, Love, Curiosity, Accountability, Enthusiasm and Commitment. Each one of these are gifts that build good character in ourselves and other people we associate with. They make others stronger and demonstrate love, but we also need the wisdom to know when to step aside and allow others to make their own mistakes without the harsh judgement of others, so they can learn and develop their own personal strength. A noble person, just as a leader is not born......but rather nobility and leadership comes through our daily work, life experiences and sometimes great hardship that tests our strength. If I do sinful things......I am positive that God will eventually show up, and set me straight and that's why my favorite movie is "Forest Gump."

Yes, it says friends because I believe that long-term relationships start out as friends and become lasting if mutual respect, trust and admiration are nurtured into it....and that takes time. How much time....that depends on how open the friends are with each other. I am not saying I would never marry again, just that I require a solid foundation of trust and the right kind of chemistry.
