I am happy to be living life in the moment. I play music and watch great films, comedies and documentaries. I read a lot and take 4-6 water aerobics classes a week at the CHCYMCA. I have more energy and ideas than at any other time in my life - so FAR so GOOD!!
Does it seem like we spend most of our life trying to get somewhere, instead of realizing that "Wherever we go, there we are." I recently retired early after 25 years as a professor - so can talk about anything that interest you.

I live alone in a great town (Carrboro) with my two male cats - been divorced for about 7 years. Raised two awesome kids. I was a professor of sociology and food science for 25 years. I am happily retired (early) - pursuing my many entrepreneurial ventures, as well as lifelong love of music and film-making.
I have played guitar for over 30 years!! My favorites are Bruce Springsteen, Steve Earle, John Lennon, Jimi Hendrix, Waylon Jennings, Bob Dylan and John Prine. I also play harmonica, mandolin and keyboards. Let me Serenade YOU!!

First Date
When and how we meet is something we'll agree upon. I do invite you to my hip and happy hometown of Carrboro (twin town with Chapel Hill.) This is called "Blue Heaven" for many reasons. It is also the highest elevation between the NC coast and the foothills.
So after you arrive (at Weaver St. Market) we will eat, drink and get merry. We will take a stroll - there is so much to see and do in a very compact and cool location. I would play guitar, harmonica and sing for you if the place is right.
