About Me
Welcome, to start a little about myself. Born in Ottawa, Grew up on the Prairies, educated on the Prairies and the West Coast and throw in a little sojourn to Toronto. Now back in Ottawa for the last few years working for the Feds, but luckily a little more interesting than the average bureaucrat work. I am an intellectual, an athlete, sometimes a bit of a nerd, an optimist and some have said a really nice guy.
As for what I like to do… I play and am heavily involved in rugby, it has been my main sport for years and one of my greater passions. I also play some soccer, a little basketball and bike around town (when it is not winter) and am usually up for any other sport. Food and drink are a big part of my life. I cook almost all of my meals, usually from scratch, I make my own dressings, sauces, etc. and a relationship with me will lead to a lot of good eating. I also enjoy going out for food. And I almost always pair my food with a good wine or beer. And when I cook or do anything around the house I listen to a lot of music. My favourites are Neil Young, Pearl Jam, Bruce Springsteen, Matthew Good, Foo Fighters and many others. I really just like anything I find good now matter the genre, I have been known to throw a little opera or classical on now and then. I also like watching a lot of movies (mostly at home) and a select few really good tv series (Boardwalk Empire, Game of Thrones and some old classics, i.e. the West Wing). Speaking of which I am also a political and public policy buff, and lot to have a good conversation/debate/argument over drinks or food.
As for you…. I am generally attracted to smart women with an athletic background. Though I don’t limit myself to that. I am looking for a partner who will bring her own ideas, interests and passions into a relationship. Ideally you share some of the same interests and have a down to earth disposition and good values.
