My friends would probably describe me as chatty, articulate, funny, passionate about ideas and somewhat creative. Just about everything interests me (cooking, motorcycling, travel, history, architecture, cars, culture, going fast, wine, music, singing and playing my drums, blah blah blah), so I'm curious to know what interests you. I'm very much a "people person," and get along well in crowds of strangers or with new people.
I like to cook, travel by motorcycle (not just riding to a bar, actual traveling), socialize with friends, hike... geez, too many things to list that I do once in a while, not all the time - bowl, tennis, bicycling, wine tasting, music (drummer), all sorts of things interest me.
I've heard stories from various people who have been on here, and I must say that I truly empathize with what women go through. Some of these guys need psychotherapy!
That said, try to be courteous to me, as I will certainly be to you. We all have different likes and dislikes, and things we're attracted to and turned off by, but that shouldn't stop us from being adults and treating each other with respect.
We're also mixtures of good and bad - every one of us. I'm far from perfect, but please don't take past bad experiences with men and apply them to me, as I won't with you. Nobody likes to be presumed guilty and required to prove innocence. Let's give each other the benefit of the doubt! :-)
So if you're intelligent, funny and attractive, you're open to new people and places, I'd love to hear from you. Of course, if you're the type that deletes someone's message without the courtesy of reading what they wrote, then you're probably not my type anyway.

First Date
Depends on where we are and what season it is, but I'm usually pretty inventive. :-)
During the winter, there's nothing better than enjoying the fireplace with a glass of wine (probably more of a third date kind of thing), but in the spring, I will want to get out on the motorcycle as much as possible.
