About Me
I’d been thinking it’s pointless to take the time to write a thought-out “about me” because very few actually read it anyway. However, I’ve decided that a more objective attitude might be a better approach so here it goes:
Despite the many challenges life has thrown in my path, I have managed not to allow these experiences to leave me jaded. I’m ever an optimist, refusing to give in to cynicism; I hold what might be a romantic ideal about humanity and the beautiful world in which we live. As a humanitarian I try to exercise compassion, empathy and love as both an example to my four children and a gesture of kindness toward those around me. I’m an eco-conscious liberal and Secular Humanist but I do attend a Unitarian Universalist church. My health is a priority so I like to keep myself in shape and maintain a nutritious diet. I am a goal-oriented, confident and intelligent woman who makes practical decisions fueled by sometimes impractical and eccentric goals.
I don’t like to place too many expectations on myself or anyone else in respect to a romantic relationship but I hope that my experience here on PoF will at least result in a few good friends. I think on some level we all want to love and to be loved in return and I’m no different. I crave to fall in love again but don’t have a desire to force something that isn’t there. In the meantime I’m not in a hurry and welcome the opportunity to meet new people with whom I can laugh and entertain delightful conversations and memorable experiences.
I am vertically gifted at 6’1”. I find that step-stools are a bit of a burden and rather inconvenient so I’m sure you’ll agree that the best solution is comparable stature and, to be fair, height/weight proportionate. Geography is also an important factor in compatibility. Otherwise I’ve given up on most other criteria as it became a box too small for anyone to realistically fit into. Different combinations of people bring out different qualities in one another so it's more about compatibility than particular personality traits.
