Self Summary
If you hang out with me and don't laugh, you probably had a frontal lobotomy. I'll make a fool of myself for a laugh. I'm a bit of a comedian. Think George Carlin meets Louis CK. I've got a biting wit and a sarcastic sense of humor. Yet, I'm a pretty good guy; some even say I'm charming, but then again people say a lot of things when they've been drinking.
I sing in my car, I sing in the shower, I sing when I get a parking ticket. I love music, and I like it loud. I write and perform music as well. I enjoy it because it gives me an outlet to express the things I know inside but just can't find the words to say. That isn't to say I can't come up with great lyrics, but the music leads me to them.
Autumn is my favorite season, and Halloween my favorite day! Kids dressing up and begging for candy? Come on, that's total win right there. I remember it as a kid and I loved trick or treating. I'm the only one of my friends who has perfect teeth. Not a single cavity! No one is really surprised though. As a kid I rarely ate my candy after arriving home. I'd pour it out onto the living room carpet and search for the razor blades. My older brothers were****, but I guess they did me a favor by scaring the sh*tout of me! Perfect teeth!
What I'm Doing With My Life
I study medicine, applied mathematics, finance/investments and Psychology in my spare time. I read a lot in general, at least 3-6 hrs every single day. You can't be a smart ass without the smart part, and that requires an endless supply of knowledge. Don't feel intimidated though. I'm easy to talk to and my life is pretty simple. I'm pretty spiritual as well, and love studying all sorts of beliefs and philosophies. If I'm not working [I'm an investor & security analyst] or studying, then I'm doing some fitness type thing, or doing something enjoyable like spending time with family, working on my car, playing Xbox - typical guy stuff.
I'm Really Good At
Being a friend. Being a pain in the ass, listening and giving advice when asked, taking my own advice and being flexible when circumstances aren't. Doesn't that sound so awesome? Yeah, I thought so too when I wrote it. Who the hell takes their own advice? I don't know about you, but it's a work in progress for me! I'm a pretty good writer. Making people laugh comes easily. People seem to feel good around me. I'm really good at challenging people and getting people to open up. People seem to unload guilt and feelings that burden them. So in that sense, I guess I'm good at bringing people relief and peace.
Books, Movies, Music, TV Shows, Food, Games
Books: I'm highly interested in reading books about the sciences, and philosophy. I read some fiction but mostly non-fiction. Historical fiction is pretty cool. Games: I love playing Xbox 360 and killing zombies. Movies: Netflix/Xbox is cool too, if you enjoy movies or games. I like Drama, Action and Comedy but I love Horror and Supernatural too. Anything with zombies rocks. Music: Mostly Rock and Alternative. Switchfoot, The Verve Pipe, Foo Fighters, Gin Blossoms, DMB, Third Eye Blind. Pink Floyd, Queen, U2, Paramore, 19 Wheels, Tonic, etc. Shows: The Walking Dead, House, Dexter, Californication, Weeds, Medium, Rescue Me, Awake, Battlestar Galactica, Shameless, How I Met Your Mother, A Gifted Man, Supernatural, The Big C, Lie To Me, Family Guy, and American Dad. Food: Love food in general: Mexican, Italian, Indian, Chinese, etc.
I Spend A lot Of Time Think About
The future. I think about my health, relationships, career, and education too. I work hard to proactively pursue these things and find solutions to adversity! Accomplishing goals makes me feel grounded. I deal with a chronic health condition (Lyme) and that motivates me. Sure I stare up at the stars and fantasize about knowing all the secrets of the universe (doesn't everyone?). I wonder what my future-better half is up to, what my future self will be doing in the years to come.
On A Typical Friday Night I'm
Watching a movies, playing a game, writing/performing Music, etc. Sometimes I just hang out with Chief and Micho, or with friends. Sometimes I stand outside on our top deck pondering how technically (and factually) when you look up at the stars or at another person - the universe, thru your eyes is seeing itself. Whoa, totally Zen. I prefer low profile and simple pleasures basically.
