...as opposed to all the "bad" ones Ive had lately. What can you really put here that wont make you sound like a hyprocritical jerk, or worse yet, an arrogent s.o.b.? Seems like most of the headlines out there ("looking for love", "trying something new", "here to please you", yadda, yadda, yadda) can be easily translated into, "cyber-sex junkie", "cheating bast**d", or "I need someone to leach off of". Do I sound cynical? Just rational. The thing that catches my eye on this type of site is more of an honest description along with those qualities so few people seem to possess. I look for something out of the ordinary. Someone to talk to that can carry on an interesting conversation and hype things up with a bit of humor and maybe even sarcasm. Someone who doesnt share my point of view and can debate with me a little bit. Not that I would try to convince someone that their beliefs on any given subject were inappropriate, just that I enjoy the "meeting of the minds", so-to-speak. (I DO love a good argument).
Okay...so all that aside, heres a few things about me: I like the sunset over the sunrise (theres something sweet and innocent about the suns slumber), I prefer vanilla over chocolate (except in the case of pudding), I like strawberries but nothing strawberry flavored. I love tattoos even though I have none myself. I adore a good mens cologne, and along with stimulating conversation, a good laugh, and maybe some sultry music, theres nothing more intoxicating. Speaking of..I love music, most kinds, and really enjoy concerts. I would rather listen to the radio then watch television (although I do like the discovery channel). As far as movies go, I prefer the ones that end with me saying, "OH MY GOSH! I would have never thought that!!" I like psycho-thrillers, but not into horror/slasher movies. And I would much rather sit and watch a DVD then go to a theatre. (I can get up to go to the bathroom anytime I want and not miss a thing, and the popcorn is cheaper, too!)
Okay, now I'm rambling, so I'll stop.
Well, like it says..."Talk/Email"... Im not looking BUT if I was....a first date would have to be something different. Anything out of the ordinary dinner and a movie. Hasnt anyone come up with a better first date then that? Sure, someplace where you can talk and get to know one another is great, but the way I see it, you can do the idle chit-chat in the car, go do something fun or adventerous, then talk about that. It opens the door to begin to feel comfortable with someone. Like, and this may sound childish but, laser tag, or go-carts. Then, afterward you can strike things up with, "Yeah..you blew me away." or "Did you see that one guy getting nailed in the corner?" Once you can laugh together, the floor is open for more "traditional" things and the level of comfort boosts.
