People say I’m a funny guy, dry with a hint of sarcasm. Well, ok, a liberal dash of sarcasm. I do enjoy the creative use of profanity if time and situation permit. Not to say I can’t enjoy the finer points of a French farce, or a british sitcom. I can’t say I’m above juvenile humor either. I use what I can and take my laughs where I find them, although I don’t enjoy anything with a mean-spirited tone, nor would I inflict that on someone else. I’m not entirely politically correct, though.
I’m an easy going guy, tolerant, easy to get along with. I’m neither terribly high maintenance, or a doormat. I’m an honest person and I expect that to be reciprocal. I’m not going to describe my ideal woman here because I don’t think that’s possible. I don’t think its good to have too specific an idea, or a rigid list. Life needs spontenaity and if you get too hung up on a specific thing you may miss something more interesting just in the periphery. You should be funny and smart, in good enough health to engage in moderate physical activity, perhaps the occasional hike, or something similar. I’m not a huge outdoor guy but being a very recent transplant to this area, I’m looking forward to exploring the state and what it has to offer. I like road trips, I like travel. I like exploring new things and places. I’m not afraid to take a risk.
Other than that, I haven’t lived in a big city in a while, and I’d like to see some live music, maybe some plays. I like movies, all kinds of movies, Thrillers, westersn, musicals, Noir, horror, you name it, I’ll probably watch it and I have the dvd collection to prove it. I like to read, mainly fiction, mostly escapist type stuff, plus a lot of non fiction, mostly history. My musical tastes are pretty wide, Rock, Blues, Jazz, Swing and Big Band, Motown, some techo and electronic, etc, plus a smattering of really weird stuff I’ve collected over the years that I use either to amuse myself or cheerfully annoy loved ones with.
I like theme parks, rollercoasters, and going to disneyland
I dont' really have a set schtick for a first date, I think its better to tailor the situation to the person. some people like the traditional dinner/movie combo. others may prefer doing something more silly, like mini golf. maybe go see a local band. I prefer the first date at least to be more about getting to know each other than doing something wild and crazy. I just moved here as well and don't know the area and what strange and quirky things there might be to do beyond the usual.
