Hi. What fun. This may be just as difficult as meeting people in the real world. I really don't like talking about myself, but here goes. I'm fun, generous, a little shy at first, but a real kick in the butt once you know me. I love to learn and try new things. I read a lot, and write a little. I love the outdoors, especially in the summertime...hiking, fishing and camping and stuff. In the eight months of winter, I have a harder time finding things to do. I usually just camp out with a video game or a good book or five. I'm looking for new friends who know how to have fun and are willing to try new things and also teach me a thing or two.
I guess cooking is my passion. I truly love to cook. I'm not much of an artist otherwise. I write some poems and do some crafty stuff. I enjoy my garden, but more from the contact with the earth than the fruits of my labors(pun intended).
My taste in music is admittedly poor. I, for a long time, was a music snob, I wanted meaning and depth and uniqueness. I still love great music, but I want to hear great new music. So I listen to crappy pop music all day in hopes of something great and new.
Conversation Starters (i.e. what you'd like to do on a first date...)
I guess my ideal first date would be a walk/hike in nature like Manito or Riverfront park, for starters(maybe a later date could be someplace less man made. If things go well a stop at for refreshment, anything from ice cream to margaritas, would offer a nice pause to see where we want things to go...Dancing, movie, board games, whatever we are in the mood for. I like plans, But I've never seen or understood a "by-the-book" date. I think starting casual and quiet lets us get to know each other. and once it's less awkward, we can better find what we would enjoy together.
