About Me
I have a conviction that laughter is a genuine theraputic intervention. I find humor in just about everything; so most likely that makes me politically incorrect.i am from texas and possess a slightly different accent;it's english, but I prefer the King's english! I am interested in learning different languages. i dabble in etymology. i love learning and therefore think everyone around me should too. i work for our hospice in pinellas county, so I talk a lot about end of life issues and "the" journey. i am shy by nature but when coersed, i mutate into a social being. meditations are critical in the functioning of my every day life; i like solidarity. i am not athletic, per say, although i do love the outdoors,hiking, gardening, going for walks. tv is not a part of my routine, although HLN, Morning Joe or Bay News 9 illuminates from my screen every morning as i prepare for work to catch up on current events. i enjoy foreign and period films,theatrical performances, celtic music, art, museums and historical places, the simple things; money does not impress me, helping others does. i have a jack russell named Maggie who likes to steal dung from the cat litter box and a siamese cat named beau who nibbles my toes.
I have a great life that offers daily moments of wonder and satisfaction.......
My life path has lead me to a broad scope of experiences. I am on my third career; invested many years in the fashion industry, worked for a state legislator and now finding serving the human race on such a basic level has proven to be the most rewarding profession yet.
About the one I'm looking for...
One who has a realization of what things are truly the most important in life, the meaning of it and how we can serve others during it. Someone who I can share everything, both our passions.....; one who loves family and one who truly loves God. A forever friend, that is loyal and honest......and is a good communicator.
***I also, have a strong curiosity about all the men on this site that feel the need to include only photos of themselves wearing shades? I can't see you....eyes are the windows of the soul.
*** It is an interesting place we find ourselves, on this website. I have read some pretty diverse profiles. I have read long ones, short ones, boring ones, funny ones, creative ones. I have read profiles that demanded certain rules in their communication to them (in the subject line!); ones containing bad grammar and improper syntax, ones that promise attributes resembling that of a nobleman. I think one of the most humorous ones ( and most likely, a very honest one) was found under the "First Date" heading. He preferred to meet in a public place where there were several strategic exits. I offered a drive-by, taking turns standing on a designated corner at a designated time. The other would just " drive by." Well, he didn't take me up on it, but I thought it was a great idea!! Observing human behavior through the POF lens truly proves to be extraordinary! If you gotta a story, I would love to hear it! :)
Wow, seeing more profiles with, what I call, a " hate" list. Why can't we all just know we are all different, try to see the good in others, and discontinue the intolerance? Write about who YOU are. I will bet you will filter out the people you least want to attract.....
