You've gotta take this online dating thing with a grain of salt; it's still more natural to meet people in everyday life but for the goal of meeting a more ideal match, I'm trying all avenues and resources. So here goes:
I enjoy travelling when I can, exploring new food, cultures, architecture and live music. I'm a nature kid at my core...I prefer the great outdoors, being in the sun, the beach, art, film, food festivals and flea markets and really anything performance-art related; live music, plays, sports and such.
I've enjoyed living in SoFlo (So. Florida) and spending time in New York, but I like being back here in Philly. I really dig the arts scene and culture, and the melting pot of the entertainment scene in center city and beyond in the surrounding suburbs. NY is good for trips and amazing but I like the slower pace, less crowded/more nature vibe here in Philly. It almost has a small town feel as opposed to busy and bustling NY. And while I like the smaller, intimate venues, I like big personality and a great sense of humor. If you can make me laugh, that will go waaaay further than how you look in a skirt. I need more personality; more cowbell.
Running errands or running literally, I am always on the move. Being outdoors in the sunshine is my favorite thing. Playing tennis or volleyball, in the ocean or hitting up a weekend art or music festival, flea market or other local event. I really like shopping so that kinda hits two birds w/ one stone. Always looking to scoop up my next hat, button down, music or eclectic and interesting art. I do like thrift spots and independent mom & pop shops.
I'm not huge into TV but I do like the the educational PBS type, cosmos, Discovery Ch and Animal Planet. I also like my cable series': Newsroom, GoT, Homeland, Boardwalk etc. My new thing has been getting into more podcasts. Already can't live without Pandora, Soundcloud, Shazaam, etc. I don't really do Facebook other than for fam out of the country or far out of state but then I will mostly use Skype. That could actually be an interesting first meeting if anyone is busy and just prefers that to a coffee or other first meet and greet. I love racquet sports and I'm learning volleyball. I tend to be drawn to athletic and/or creative, organic, artsy types. Ideally, she would be into tennis or athletic and willing to learn. I've also been learning yoga and pilates but tennis has been the most fun. I'm not the most competitive person, I just like to see how long we can hit the same ball. To have that in common or another sport I just think is a great thing for a relationship.
I'm looking for someone who doesn't take themselves too seriously, a witty and unpredictable person who has her life together to some degree and values family; her own and others. Someone with a sense of humor and personality first and maybe looks second haha. But seriously, I'm just at the point in my life where I'm open to new activities and turning over new leaves in learning and exploring and meeting interesting people. Basically, I'm not placing limitations on characteristics, but I know the kind of person i'm looking to meet.

**Even though I'm usually writing from my iphone and may abbreviate, I do have pet peeves with poor grammar and spelling, especially: there/their, to/too, etc., bathroom photos in your sexy pose, bad teeth, not being able to smile on your profile, kissy shots or too many pictures of your animal Only. These are kind of deal breakers for me**
Experience has taught me to start with coffee or a drink or something somewhat brief in nature for the first meet. If the vibe is good, do lunch or whatever. Fun and different activities or sports are always nice to break the ice. Movies and plays are not really where it's at at first, but we can talk about them waaaaay before.
