Hoping to meet a down to earth Floridian for friendship and ultimately, the one. A lot of these women down here seem so glittery and on party mode. Maybe it's just cuz I'm not home yet so I don't know where to look.
Way recent transplant to South FL via Philly. Worked for a construction management company in human resources but they moved the department and payroll up to NY last month so I felt the stars were aligned to come down here and take care of my last ailing grandparent who has stage 4 lung & colon cancer. He will be 98 in May and is a holocaust survivor....trying to soak up as much as I can right now from a last generation. Lost my other grandpa on the last day of January; a day after grandma's birthday...an amazing love story indeed that started so young at 12 &13. So I'm on here looking pa' nub like Eddie said.
I love to travel when I can, explore new food, cultures and music. I'm a nature kid at my core and many things art-related, especially music, live shows and theater/movies. If you can make me laugh, that will go waaaay further than how you look in a skirt. I need more personality; more cowbell.
Whats the last music you bought/DL'd and/or live show you were at. I know you shouldn't end a sentence with a preposition but I'm not correcting it, you'll live.
I'm looking for someone who doesn't take themselves too seriously, an intelligent woman who has her life together to some degree and values family; her own and others. I am a sucker for athletic, enthusiastic and/or creative women. Big bonus points if you play tennis or are willing to learn. I'm not the most competitive person, I just like to see how long we can hit the same ball. I love the beach in the summertime and especially the ocean.
I go to the gym and remain active. Running errands or running literally, I am always on the move. I enjoy working out at the gym, doing spin, pilates and sometimes yoga. First Date
Maybe a coffee/tea or grabbing a drink. I think first meetings should generally be brief unless we've talked on the phone and have a plan. The 2nd date could be dinner, a museum or something active is always a good ice-breaker. Movies are a no-no at first, but we can talk about them waaaaay before.
