-Things I enjoy…
I enjoy running a lot. In high school I ran A LOT. But that was Grant 1.0, and unfortunately that studmuffin is long gone! However, Grant 3.0 has run about a million 5Ks, a few half marathons, and one full marathon. I participate in a road race at least once a month, and since 2007 i have done more than 70 races! During the week I'm usually huffing and puffing along the Van Fleet Trail, West Orange Trail, or the Lake Minneola Trail. Grant 7.0 hopes to keep running this much forty years from now.
Having every holiday off and the summer off I'm the kind of person who likes to get up early and go do something (go to the beach, a theme park, a long run, a road race, an early breakfast, etc.). Anytime I venture out of my immediate area I love to find a new dive or diner to try. I like going out with friends to a sports bar, even though I don't drink, to watch football and basketball. I used to be good at pool, but may be a little dusty. But I'd polish my game just to beat you. I love bowling. I've been on for fun leagues and I've been on money leagues. A real Kingpin, but with two fully functioning hands.
From coaching to playing to just enjoying a Magic game or March Madness, you could say basketball is my obsession haha. I've been an assistant basketball coach for a local high school since 2002, and I get a rush to be a part of these young men's lives in this capacity. I also play basketball in the annual faculty league!
As a proud pet owner, I'm a huge dog and animal lover. Yes! I'm that guy with two Pomeranians on leashes walking down by the lake. With that being said, I am 100% and completely into women! Sorry to all you Yorkie owning dudes who eyeball me at the dog park in Winter Garden! We are a package deal, but I am not looking for a "mommy" for them. They have separate moms who they no longer have contact with and haven't had contact with since each of them were eight weeks old. So no...there is no doggy's mama drama in my life.
Sure, I'll eat with you at Whole Foods and support your vegetarian and/or vegan lifestyle. However, you undoubtedly will dislike my enjoyment of grilling on the weekends if you're a vegan. No, I don't think I'm any more masculine than the next single guy who owns two Pomeranians, but I do my own lawn work, use a charcoal grill, plug and patch my own tires, replace my own bulbs and lights in my truck, and take the garbage out. However, I still opt to have my auto repairs and services and major plumbing issues done by professionals. If that's not manly enough for you I'm sure there are plenty of auto mechanics and plumbers available on this website to fulfill your wildest dreams. For that matter, if I sound too manly to you then perhaps you may want to seek out one of the available metrosexual types who undoubtingly use propane rather than charcoal because "brickys are ickys."
I'm a public school teacher, which means I work very hard for ten months out of the year for very little monetary compensation. Yes, I brown bag a lunch everyday, so that I can save up to take road trips and flights to places I want to visit in those two precious months between school years. I'm content with my positions, course load, school, staff, students, and salary, and can see myself doing this for the rest of my working life. So, if you need a man to make six figures you should click the back button and keep scrolling through the better options that this site has put at your fingertips.
Whenever possible, I love to travel. Whether it's a road trip with some good friends or me doing my own thing I really get excited about seeing new places! I've been to just about every beach in Florida, but loved Myrtle Beach, SC! I dig cool cities, and loved my times in Savannah, Nashville, Key West, NYC, ATL, DC, and New Orleans. This summer I plan to drive out to South Dakota and see the Badlands and Mt. Rushmore! I've visited Mexico, and want to take this world tour to Europe and China someday, so I have quite the bucket list!
