First of all: I am not from the USA (that was a little lie to get your attention). I am a 32 year old doctoral student of International Management in Germany. People told me that I am an interesting mix of different traits. Means: On the one side, because of my work I am used to dress corretly, talk seriously about business strategies, work with numbers and such, think analytical (and like all of that). On the other side, my hobbies or private life differs from this cliche. I like travelling (backpacking mostly), meeting people and seeing other countries. I do some sports, like jogging, inline skating, snow skiing, trekking and most of all I still enjoy to play Rugby in a club I enjoy a wild party as much as an evening just for two. I like BBQ/Braai in Summer and the Weihnachtsmarkt in Winter! I like music and going to concerts (rather wild/ alternative kind of music, but other styles as well). I love good movies (again the more the unknown/ alternative ones, no 'blockbusters') I am interested in politics, history and geography I don't like superficial talk; I prefer to have not too many friends, but therefore have some real friends. I like to discuss things, but not endlessly. Am pretty outspoken, straight forward and sarcastic sometimes; and like people who are this, too. Am pretty open minded, am able to admit mistakes and able to forgive. Maybe, at last, I think I am also pretty romantic, although maybe not in the typical way.
I have worked abroad (South Africa) for about a year and I am planning to do so again. Not immediately, but maybe in 1-3 years. So, actually I do not search for a relationship here. I simply want to meet some people and exchange some thoughts about this and that. Of course, if by doing so, I meet THE ONE woman, I might first consider buying a flight-ticket and meet for a real-life coffee or drink. And maybe I might even be willing to make my emigration plans accordingly... :)
