About Me
I work in the music industry and I'm away as often as I'm home, if not more. Because of that "serious relationship" is a pretty tough sell. Also because of what I do for a living, when I'm home, I'm not a go-out-and-tear-it-up guy (I do that every night on tour), but I'm all for a pub for tapas and talk! This isn't to say that I won't go to shows, and my listening taste is all over the map!
I'm not a particularly good looking fella, but seems I'm charming enough and fun to hang out with.
Ok, now I'm seeing what sort of things make the difference for folks, so with that in mind:
I like the outdoors, but I'm not fanatical about it. I like to go camping when I can (actual camping, in a tent, in the woods, with no amenities) but I'm not too much for strapping everything on my back and hiking for 6 hours into the woods. I don't get to do it near as often as I'd like, and I have a favorite spot, but I wouldn't mind finding new ones. A plain old hike in the woods is great too. Would I jump off a bridge with elastic bands tied to my ankles? Sure, but it might not be the first thing to pop into my head on a sunny day.
I like watching sports, and playing some of them, even if I suck at them. And generally speaking, I do. I'm not an athlete, by any stretch of the imagination, but I'm in surprisingly good shape for a sloth. Just don't expect to catch me doing sit ups.
I'm perfectly content being a couch potato, but if something fun comes up, I'm all for it. I DO like to watch TV and play video games (yup, suck at those too, but they're still fun), and have been known to plow through entire series' in a sitting. My work is a very hectic, frenetic sort of thing, so when I have down time, I do enjoy it being 'down', to a degree.
I play guitar (once again, not well, but it's coming along) and will often sit watching TV with a guitar on my lap. I'm also a drummer, but space constraints and neighbors... well...
To clarify what I do for a living and it's effect; I am a "Professional touring technician", which is Latin for "Roadie". I travel at least half the year, and often times more, in anywhere from weekend, to months long stretches, and yes, odds are you have heard of the bands I work with.
What I listen to runs the gamut from rock to pop to country to R&B and anything in between. I don't have 'guilty pleasure' music, if I like it I like it, and don't shy away from saying so.
I am also strongly opinionated, and can generally back anything I have to say, and I don't subscribe to popular notion just because it's popular. That being said, I love a good debate, and have no compunction playing devils advocate against my own opinions just to make it interesting. Arguing the other side can teach one a lot about the other side.

Really, I'm all for dinner, or just finding a nice quiet pub, or coffee shop and talking. No point in guessing what would happen from there, it never happens like you expect.
